My Boss's Accidental Girlfriend

04 - Dinner Time

Irene's POV

I can't believe I just did that, I just agreed to be my boss's fake girlfriend. What am I a sellout? No, but I really need the money. I have to pay for my rent, take care of my brother who's in Daegu and most dreaded paying back my deceased father's debt. My mother left us when we were young and my dad died in an accident 5 years back. That left me an 18 year old girl and her 13 year old brother with nothing except a $50,000 dollar debt. 

I was getting ready for the dinner with my new "boyfriend's"  family when I get a call from my brother.

"Noona! I miss you so much, are you eating well?" my little brother asks sometimes he seems like the older sibling 

"Yes Jeonghyunnie, I am don't worry about me and just focus on your studies."

"I know, don't worry I'm top of the class and I'll be able to get a scholarship in Seoul so I can be with you." 

"Ya, stop being so cocky! I'm sorry I can't talk with you more I have to go somewhere soon"

"Ohh where are you going? a date maybe"

"Haha no who do you think I am it's just a friend" I chuckle nervously

"Okayy well call me soon I always miss you"

"I will remember to stay healthy and happy, I'll try to visit you soon ok, I love you"

"Love you too bye noona!" and he hangs up

I zip up my pencil skirt and button my white blouse and look at myself in the mirror. I was never the type of girl to dress up but I start to wonder if I should as I will be meeting one of Korea's most reputable families. Ah whatever it's not like I actually have to see them for a long time anyway this should be fine. I hear my phone buzz and I receive a text from a random number

I'm here come down

Who is this?

Your beloved boyfriend

Ah I see, I'm coming down now

I head down and spot and see a bright Ferrari and I could tell that right away that it was him. I go into the car and see him in a dashing suit. I see him look me up and down.

"You're wearing that?"

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?"

"This will not do, we are not going to church"

"Excuse me I find this outfit quite nice" what a jerk

" Hang on tight we're gonna have to stop by somewhere quickly to get you changed"

Jin's POV

I arrive at Irene's apartment and text her to come down. I am met with my new girlfriend looking like a 50 year old librarian. She looks nothing like the night before and I am disappointed. I've decided that I'll take her to a boutique to get changed so I'm not embarrassed. We arrive at the designer clothing boutique and are greeted with a bunch of girls trying to throw themselves at me. I look over to Irene and see her very uncomfortable, I hold her by the small of her back and ask a clerk to put her into a semi-formal outfit. I'm sitting and waiting for her to finish, jeez how long does it take. I finally hear the sound of the curtain opening and look up to her in an elegant sleeveless red dress and I'm amazed by her beauty I stand there slightly gaping.

"Do I have something on my face?"

"What? No, let's go were gonna be late" snap out of it Seokjin she's just a regular girl and you don't date

I storm out of the building and sit in the car and she follows behind and I start the engine. The car ride is very silent and I look over to see her sleeping. I chuckle she probably had a long day. We arrive at the restaurant and I try to wake her up. 

"Ya, Irene wake up!" I try after what seems like the hundredth time 

"Bae Joohyun it's time to get up" and she starts to stir and I smirk maybe I should start calling her by her real name

She stares at my face and I smile

"Do you like the view?" then she blushes and looks away

"We're here already you should've woken me up early" she rushes out of the car 

We head in and spot my parents and my younger brother. They smile and wave us over.

Irene's POV

We head over to his parents and he grabs my waist and I feel my cheeks starting to get heated. 

"Mother, Father, Taehyung this is my beautiful girlfriend Bae Joohyun" he announces

I smile politely and Jin's mother comes up to me and envelopes me into a big hug

"How are you dear, you look absolutely stunning" the warm woman says

"Thank you so much, you look amazing as well." I turn to shake his father and brother's hands

We take our seats and there is an awkward silence. I don't know what to do except look down.

Jin's brother starts "I'm surprised hyung got a girlfriend so quick I'm pretty sure he was-" Jin covers his mouth

 "What are you talking about I've known Irene for some time now I just haven't introduced her yet because she wasn't comfortable" Jin punches his brother

I giggle and cover my mouth. "So how did you guys meet anyway?" His father asked looking directly at me. I look over to Jin as I don't know what to say. He leans over and says "Just make one up. I was deciding if I should just say we met at work because they already know that i'm his secratary. I got an idea! 

"Uhm well we met at work, as you know i'm his secretary and I was definitely not looking for any attention. But he just kept flirting with me and would do these huge acts in front of our coworkers that I finally said yes." I smirk and see Jin's face slightly confused

"And what were these acts he put on" his mother asks curious

"Oh you know he would stand in front the whole office with huge bouquets of flowers and would sing to me in a pink outfit. You should've seen it!" Jin's face turns red and he slightly nudged me. If I am gonna do this might as well get some fun out of it.

"Ahem anyways we are just so in love right honey" he kisses my cheek and I freeze

Finally the food arrives and the rest of the night is small talk mostly Jin is the one talking because I know he doesn't want me to say anything else. We finish dinner and part ways with his parents. I must say that his family is much nicer than I expected unlike their son. When we head back to his car he turns to me and says "Get out".
