As it has been established, there heroes summoned now aren't the only ones before. There were many others who took up the mantle of a weapon wielder.
One of the most powerful and one of the best weapon worlders before was the hand cannon wielder. He was actually an ancestor of Jaren.
The 4th Gunslinger, Shin Malphur, once led a battle. He merely got injured once, healed instantly and then went into battle again. He fought and fought until they met the lieutenant to which they made quick work of.
The following footage was recorded by scholars also they could study it. And for other new heroes to be able to see what they're up against.
