Chapter 1: Nostalgia

Elle's POV

"Father! Father! Can I see Mother and my little brothers!" I ask Father.

"Sure you can sweetie, and please quiet down your voice. Your brothers were just born." Father told me.

"Oops, hehe sorry... " I apologized, "Let's go see them," Father said.

Father leads me to the bedroom to see Mother and my brothers. I scurried after Father and peeked through the door, and then finding Mother holding the twins. Mother seems exhausted and worn out. I thought to myself, giving birth must be scary but who cares I got two little brothers to play with! 

"Love, do you need anything?" Father asks.

"Just a glass of water, darling." Mother answered.

Father went out to get some water for Mother, meanwhile, I went to Mother's side and see my little siblings. 

"Mother, can I touch them?" I eagerly whispered, wanting to play with them, "Of course, dear" Mother giggled while showing me my brothers.

"They look so cute and funny," I told her while booping one of the twin's nose, "What are their names?" I asked, tilting my head.

Mother looks at the twins, smiling "Their names are "Vergil and Dante" Father said in sync with Mother.

Timeskip to 4 years

"-,6,7,8,9,10! Ready or not, here I come!" I open my eyes and look around to find them.

Just as soon as I look around, I saw Dante's shoe behind some big bushes so I decided to check if Dante is really behind that bush, turn out that I was right. "Hmmm, where did Dante go, wow he's very good at hiding," I said out loud then "BOO!" followed by a scream from Dante.

"I found you, Dante!" I giggling, "ELLE! It's not fair! How do you find me so fast!"Dante said and hitting me furiously.

Vergil's POV

'Heh, look at Dante's face and Elle didn't found me first.' I chuckled. 'Now, I haven't climbed this tall before, why did I climb this high,' looking down from the tree.

"Elle! Vergil! Dante! Come inside and eat! Your mother made some sweets and tea!" Father called.

"Okay! We're coming!" they answered.

"Wait- wait for me!" I yelped, almost slipped from the tree branch, no one noticed me...

 "Vergil!" someone called me, looking back down.

"Elle! Please help me get down from here!" I answered back.

"Vergil! Wow, I didn't think you can clim-, wait nevermind, are you alright !?" Elle asked.

"Yes, I'm fine, Dante isn't around right?" I told her.

"Dante is inside, you know how much he likes sweets!" she yelled back, "Vergil, can you climb down from the tree, or are you stuck?"

"Yeah, I'm stuck, I already said that! " I screamed.

"Aah, sorry ... let's see, Vergil climb down using the lower right branch and then the branch below it!," Elle said, " Are you sure?" I ask, " Vergil, just trust me!" she answered.

I slowly climb down and the second branch, it snapped and I fall down, bracing for the impact only to be caught by Elle.

"Vergil! Oh! are you okay? You're not hurt, right?" she sets me down and worriedly checking if I'm alright.

"Yes, I am fine. " I tell her, dusting the leaves and dust on my clothes.

"Hey, Vergil, let's make a promise that I will catch you, whenever you fall and you will always trust me, promise?" Elle said while holding her hand out and raised her pinky.

"Yeah, I promise." I chuckled and completed the pinky promise.

"Hey! Elle!Vergil! Dad is gonna finish the food!" Dante called the two siblings.

"What! Vergil let's go!" she hurriedly grabbing my hand and running inside.

"Wait! Elle, you're gonna trip-" I yelled, followed by a loud thump.

Elle POV

I was rushing inside. I am not gonna let Father eat it all, I heard Vergil said something and then-

Eyes snap open, Elle is covered in a cold sweat, heart pounding. 

It was just a dream.
