some photos (read: screenshots) of two of my most recent poems, due to the creative formatting. then I typed out the third cuz why not? it's a free country, no?
two worlds collided
Our two worlds collided
On that fateful October day
We ran into each other in the corner of the balcony
I remembered having something to say
but I got lost in the grasp of your eyes
brown and blue, swirled together, reflecting my face
creating something even more beautiful than the stories I've always carried with me
our two worlds collided
when you asked me what I was singing
you'd travelled from your seat to mine
to say five little words
and I responded with three
and those five words meant everything
I didn't know it when I said them
but those five words gave me courage to say six
and you to say seven
up and up we went
until we were pouring out our hearts to each other,
our two worlds collided
when I saw daffodils in a milk bottle
only you knew how much I loved daffodils
only you would have given me those yellow daffodils
our two worlds collided
when I told you I loved you
and you said the same
and for just a split moment
I could have sworn
I was the happiest girl in the world
but our two worlds broke apart
when you took it all back
every word, every flower, every glance
you didn't mean any of it
so now I sit here on the edge of the balcony
staring at the space you left
when our two separate worlds
collided
whelp that was trash... oops? well I hope you enjoyed regardless!
