first grade in primary school.
usually you'd expect to be treated like a prince since you're quite young compared to the others.
you are praised, given presents and welcomed to the school just like a new member of the family.
but tine was an exception. he was bullied and harassed because of his sexuality. students from every grade level hated him.
everyday, people would taunt him. few were to defend him because they didn't want to be involved with his problems.
parents looks at him with disgust and told their kids never to grow up being like him.
he was beaten and taken advantage of. he was too scared to call the authorities because he knew that those people would do worse to him. everyday, he came home with fresh cuts on his body, his uniform was always dirty and torn.
he was hurt, scared to say anything.
his older brother, type was the only one who took care of him since his parents weren't always home. he only had his brother as his emotional support, the one who taught him how to stand up for himself.
high school, tine was being tormented by his seniors now. he hated to admit it, but he was weak. he still didn't know how to fight for himself.
he had tried multiple attempts to end his life, wanting just get away from the sufferings in his life, but none were successful. he would cry himself every night because of the pain he was experiencing.
he continued to let people abuse him. hurt him. damage and ruin him.
he was scared.
when he reached senior year, people still hurt him. that was when he decided to stand up for himself. he started to learn quick self defense, how to throw fast punches at people and the like.
tine was fed up at the way he was being treated. though he wanted to switch schools, his family didn't have enough money to pay for his tuition so he decided to ignore that thought, not wanting to burden his parents.
when he was a senior, he met fong after he was gang raped in the men's bathroom. he was crying in one of the stalls, feeling helpless while he just stood there covered in dirt.
fong was the one who helped him get back on his feet. he was the one who saw tine in his darkest times. he was one of the people who defended tine's pride throughout his remaining years in high school.
soon, they met ohm and pheuk.
that was when tine realized that he wasn't alone in this battle. he had people around him to help. together, they all became brothers by heart, promising not to leave one another behind.
during the time that tine was in a fight with those two crazy girl, his ptsd was triggered. he didn't like it when people insulted him for the sole purpose of like the opposite gender.
"so how did you learn how to punch that hard?" tine felt his heart begin to pound "so you saw?" tine spoke in a disappointed tone. "everyone saw it, darling." he didn't know how to respond.
"e-excuse me?" he asked once again. "i said everyone saw it." he repeated. tine was neevous, having an inner debate with himself whether to tell this asshole his sad story of to just lie.
"well, i learned it from my brother because he would always get bullied in school, so he decided to learn self-defense." the shorter looked out the window, wanting to ignore the question.
