I still remember you
every freckle on your nose
every twinkle in your
dark green eyes
every toothy smile
and word that smelled of
mint and chamomile because
you never were a coffee person.
I remember your laugh
that sounded like
rusty bell chimes
but in a good way.
I remember the way you used to dance
and how horrible
and so wonderful
it was to watch
and soon,
later in life,
I'll remember how happy I was
when you came
back.
