Pippa was in the kitchen making pancakes when she heard a small yawn coming from the living room. Looking over the kitchen island, she saw the little girl rising up from her slumber. Putting the fourth pancake on the plate and turning the stove off, the woman went over and sat on the couch.

The little girl looked around, a little scared. Her eyes scanned her new surroundings. Once her eyes landed on Pippa, she relaxed and slouched back.

"Morning, sunshine! Hope you like pancakes!" Pippa said calmly, so not to startle her. The girl's eyes lit up as she got up and walked over to the kitchen. Her blue orbs eyeing the small stack of pancakes. She licked her lips, but was hesitant to sit down.

Pippa noticed the girl's hesitation. "Go ahead and take a seat, sweetheart." She said gently, putting a plate of two pancakes in front of the girl. The girl took a seat and began to dig into the pancakes. She didn't realize how hungry she was.

The older girl decided to strike up a conversation with the little girl because she literally didn't know anything about her. "So tell me about yourself." Pippa said as they both finished eating.

"W-well my name is Eleanor, but I go by Ellie. I'm nine years old. I like musicals and Disney movies like The Lion King." The girl paused for a minute. "B-but I'm not that big of a fan of Hamilton as I am with other musicals..."

"That's a surprise." Pippa giggled. "Hamilton is the hottest musical on Broadway."

"I-i would like to see some musicals, but I have really bad a-anxiety." Ellie admitted. "Plus I don't have any money saved up."

"Well lucky for you, I have connections so you and I can see those shows." Pippa replied. The girl looked up at her, swinging her legs. "You really don't need to do that..." She said.

"Nononono I insist!" Pippa reassured the girl. "Anything else I need to know?"

"Well...." Ellie replied, looking down. "I'm allergic to pollen."

The girl didn't notice that Pippa was taking notes on a notepad. "So what is your favorite food?" Pippa asked.

"Um... I like most foods except for broccoli and spinach." The girl admitted. "But if I had to go into specifics on what I like... I would say spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, peanut butter, chicken nuggets, Ruffles chips, and french fries."

"Ah... some of the classic kid stuff." Pippa smiled while writing it down. "So I have a couple days off from the theater, what do you want to do?"

"Do you have stuff for drawing?" Ellie asked nervously. "I would really like to draw please..."

"Yeah I certainly do." Pippa smiled. "Here let me go get it." She disappeared into another room.

An hour later, the duo were sitting at the kitchen table, drawing random things. Pippa glanced over at Ellie to see what she was drawing, which the girl allowed her to steal a few looks. The picture was so far of Animal Crossing characters. Currently, the girl was coloring in a drawing of a cute looking squirrel.

"Is that Marshall, Ellie?" Pippa questioned.

"Oh! Uh... Yeah... this is Marshall." The girl replied. "He's one of my favorite Animal Crossing characters..."

"I love Animal Crossing." Pippa acknowledged. "In fact..." She went over to the TV stand and pulled out a Nintendo 3DS. It had a Pikachu cover on it. She pulled out a game case and took out Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Ellie's dark blue eyes widened as the woman put the game in it's cartridge and turned on the game system. She handed the game to Nicole.

"Now I'm pretty sure I have Marshall, Bob, Diana, Fauna, Chrissy, Francine, Stitches, and Rosie in my town. It's been awhile since I played it." Pippa admitted. The girl opened the game on the DS.

"Those are my favorite characters of all time!" The girl squealed.

After 2 hours, Pippa had come into the living room where the girl was allegedly playing to check on her. Ellie was asleep with a Lion King blanket over her and the game in her hands. Pippa was careful not to wake the girl as she gently took the game out of her hands to put the game back in the stand.

Making sure that the girl was asleep one last time, Pippa retreated back to her room.
