All was quiet in the Soo household. That was, until a little voice screamed out "MOMMY NO!!!" Pippa, who was in the office working on bills, heard the scream and rushed to the living room immediately. When she entered, the sight in front of her made her heart break.

Ellie was sitting up on the couch, her head hidden in her knees. Heart wrenching and terrified sobs came from the girl's mouth. It hurt the older girl to see her foster daughter like this as she sat down on the couch next to her. All she could hear between the cries was the girl hiccuping and saying "Mommy... Daddy..."

Pippa put a gentle hand on the girl's knee. Ellie didn't look up or flinch at all. The woman wanted to comfort her, but was afraid that she might push away. She took that chance and scooped up the girl into her arms. Instead of pushing away like the woman assumed she would do, the girl turned her head from her knees and buried it into Pippa's shoulder.

The woman rubbed circles into the girl's back and gently shushed her multiple times while saying "It's okay, sweetheart, I got you." She felt the girl's tears dampening a spot on her shirt, but she didn't care for the moment and focused on the task at hand: Comforting the distraught little girl in her arms.

After ten minutes, Ellie calmed down, her breathing slowed as she did. After another minute of just sitting there, basking in the warmth that was Pippa, she pulled back, her eyes looking frantic as she felt the couch. "Uh Pip..." The girl was hesitant.

"What's up, sweet girl?" Pippa smiled.

"I-i had a-an a-a-accident..." The girl admitted.

"No worries." Pippa soothed in a hushed tone. "Let's get you cleaned up okay?" The woman stood up with the girl cradled in her arms still, and walked into the bathroom. She sat the girl down on the toilet and ran the bath water.

After the bath... (Cuz I'm Lazy)

After Pippa finished bathing the girl, Ellie seemed more relaxed and less stressed out. In fact, the girl's eyes were drooping while she was yawning."Come on my sleepy girl, don't crash on me just yet." Pippa said softly. Ellie let out another yawn and pawed at her eyes. "We gotta get you dressed."

"But I wanna sleep..." The girl whined tiredly. Her eyes were close to closing for the rest of the night.

"I know sweetie..." Pippa said in a hushed tone as she picked the girl up. Ellie rested her head on Pippa's shoulder, sticking her thumb in her mouth. She tilted her head towards Pippa's neck as her feet swung.

Pippa entered her bedroom with the sleepy girl. She didn't want Ellie to spend the rest of the night alone if another nightmare occurred. She wanted to be right next to the girl when it happened.

The woman sat the girl up on the bed and removed her towel. She then went over to her closet and grabbed an oversized Lilo and Stitch t-shirt, which might look like a dress on the girl and walked over to Ellie.

"Okay sweet girl I need you to raise your arms for me, okay?" She said gently, getting a sleepy nod in response as the girl raised her arms. When the woman put the shirt on the girl, she looked too cute not to take a picture of.

Pippa grabbed her phone and pulled up camera mode. She snapped a quick picture and opened the editor app. She pulled up the picture and put a white heart over the girl's face to protect her identity for now.

When she put her phone away, she looked over to the girl, who was definitely knocked out by the looks of it. Pippa laid the girl down on the soft sheets and covered her with the blanket. She then climbed in on the other side and played with the girl's soft light brown hair, gently combing through the tangles.

She then fell asleep.
