Dangerous Business (Shin-ah Fanfic)

Chapter Four

**[Your P.O.V]**

The following day approaches so quickly and I haven't had a wink of sleep.

I get ready for school earlier than usual and try to sneak out without being noticed.

I successfully sneak out and I find myself walking through the park to get to school.

I'm shivering, but I manage to push through the icy morning .

Not long after, I feel like I'm being watched.

I quickly turn around, but no one is there.

I continue up the path further, and still this burning sensation at the back of my head remains.

I don't turn around to check, but I quicken my pace.

For what felt like forever, the burning gaze finally stops and so do I.

I quickly search to see if anyone was in the area, but still.. no one.

I turn around to continue walking until all of a sudden I am spooked by the presence of a person towering over me.

(AHH!.)

I lose my balance and quickly close my eyes, but I don't hit the ground..

**[Shin-Ah's P.O.V]**

It's 6 am in the morning and I'm heading out for a jog.

Before I head out, I hear a thud coming from upstairs.

Immediately, my body jolts up to inspect the noise.

With stealth like mode, I hold my breath and peak around the corner to see Ivy sneaking out of her room in her uniform.

I softly sigh under my breath and head downstairs to change into my uniform too.

(Looks like my plans have changed.. again)

Before I head out to follow the sneaky girl, I inform Aleksander and Hiroki.

Hiroki: "This is for you and for Miss.Ivy, be sure that this gets to her.."

The butler smiles at me as I take the brown paper bags from his hands.

(He must've been awake early to prepare for lunch)

On my way out, I pass by Aleksander.

Aleksander: "You don't need to report everything unless you believe she is in danger. I trust your judgement to make the right call"

I nod firmly and disappear from his sight.

I'm keeping my distance because she thinks she snuck out without anyone noticing.

In fact, everyone in the house knows she's gone.

As I shake my head, I notice she's on edge and decides to walk a little faster.

In my peripheral vision, I see a shady looking person trying to match her pace.

Dressed in all black, he tries to cross the street into the park where Ivy is walking.

In the space of 4 seconds, I've closed the gap between the assailant and I, stopping him in his tracks.

Stranger: "Move out of the way kid!"

In a fit of rage, he attempts to grab me, but I evade him and he fumbles to the ground.

From the corner of my eye, I notice Ivy moving further and further away.
