It had been a week since the flock met Ren and Seb. So far, things had been pretty good. Ren spent most of his time at the mouth of the cave, listening to whatever Nudge was talking about, while Seb spent her time with Iggy and Gazzy, drawing up plans for new bombs on the cave walls (mostly Seb describing everything to Iggy). The trio of bomb enthusiasts went out everyday to test their new ideas.

Ren suddenly jumped to his feet, making Nudge drop the whole conversation of what shoes would go with her hairstyle and color. He quickly moved to the mouth of the cave, where the trio of bomb makers had touched down. He whispered something into Seb's ear, then looked to her face. Her first expression was shock, then rage. "I need to go somewhere." She said through clenched teeth, fingers curling into fists.

"I'll come with you!" Gazzy tugged on her jacket, a smile plastered on his face. Seb looked at him.

"You can't come!" She barked. Her voice vibrated off of the cave walls, causing everyone to jump from the sudden outburst. "No one can come. Everyone stay here." Max's eyes narrowed as Seb took off from the cave, white bat wings and hair soaring through the pitch black night.

Ren took his seat beside Nudge again. Iggy was patting Gazzy on the back, the little boy trying to hold in tears. Angel finally spoke out, the small girl seated between both Nudge and Max. "She's going to protect us." Everyone turned to look at the small blond. "Ren told her he can hear a truck coming this way..." She picked at the hem of her dress, completely at ease.

"I guess she isn't so bad...But she shouldn't go alone." Max muttered, getting up. Angel quickly grabbed Max's hand.

"Don't do that." Both Angel and Ren warned.

"She likes to fight alone." Ren yawned.

"And you shouldn't mess with her." Angel pouted.

Max slowly sat back down as Gazzy spoke up. "W-Well, Fang and Iggy should go help! Or me!"

"I don't think that's a good idea--" Max was interrupted by a cough from Fang.

"Iggy and I will go." Fang made his way to the mouth of the cave, gently tapping on Iggy's hand a couple of times before flying off. Max sat there, too shocked to speak.

"He's only going because he feels bad for her. He think she's weak because she's so small." Angel explained.
