Meeting Time

The Next Day

Brit's POV

Man I can't believe I'm getting dressed for this meeting right now. As i buttoned my shirt up Lex walked up behind me and wrapped her arms hugging me from behind. "remember to stay calm baby, this doesn't have to be the end of your career." she said calmly. "I'll try my best." i told her as I turned aroung to face her and wrap my arms around her waist. "baby don't go acting crazy in there please!" she whined "I said I'll try Lex" I responded rolling my eyes . "I'm sorry baby, I just don't want all of your hard work going to waste." she said back "I know baby, I promise things will be ok" i said before kissing her lips . she kissed back then pulled away. I kissed her forehead "I'll see you guys later" I told her before walking out and headed to my car. Once in the car I let out a deep breath I didnt even know I was holding. "You got this" I said to myself before saying a quick prayer and driving off.

After driving for 20 minutes I pulled up to the stadium and parked. I walked through the stdium hoping this isn't my last walk through as a WNBA player. As i approached coah office I saw him and two obard members.. weird that they arent all here. "hey everyone" I greeted as I walked in. "Morning Grier" coach said as he stood up behind his desk and walked infront of it. "as you can see we only have two board members present." coach started and I nodded my head. The woman that was in the room spoke up "Well hello  Ms. Grier, I'm Ayesha . I've been on the board for two years and this is Bryant,  He's been on the board for six years. We have noticed the last few months you've been having issues wiith a teammate correct?"  I nodded again "Yes ma'am me and Candance have been butting heads" I Responded " You've done more than butt heads" Bryant spoke up "fist have been thrown and that is frowned upon in the league which I'm sure you know." "Yes, sir I am aware -" "So why is it happening?" he asked cutting me off "Well one thing I don't tolerate is disrespect, and Candance feels like it's ok to disrespect my son" I told them "And by disrespect you mean?" Ayesha asked. " I mean, she had called my son a bastard to his face and also told him I don't love him and  I will eventually leave him. Now I dont care what she says about me but don't come for my family, she's jealous I wont date her." I explained "Coach did you know about this?" Bryant spoke up " Of what she said? no" he said making me shake my head "Yea because he'll call me cursing me out instead of asking me what caused me to snap." I said angry " Well we spoke with a few teammates and it looks like the story matches theirs. You won't be fired BUT don't let this happen again." Ayesha said "AND you will still be suspended for the next 3 games. and we will meet with Candance as well. Please keep your hands to yourself from now on" Bryant said before standing up "This meeting is now over. You will still have to come to practice 3 times out the week. We can't afford you to get lazy" Ayesha said with a smile "Thank you guys sooooo much" I said standing up and shaking their hands. "I appreciate this so much. I honeslty thought my career was over" I said smiling  .
