"C'mon! What's taking so long?"

I heard Delilah's voice, accompanied with her constant knocking on the bathroom door as I stood in front of the mirror, staring at the dress that hugged my body for the past twenty minutes.

I sigh, opening the door and stepping out, twirling around slightly, "What do you think?"

Her mouth forms an 'O' as she stared at the gold fabric before a squeal escapes her throat, her eyes gleaming, "It's beautiful."

I smile at her excitement, walking to the wall-length mirror in the corner of my room.

"You think so?" I ask, turning on my heels checking the back as I moved the fabric that drapes from the back of my shoulder, "Isn't the cape thing too much?"

"No stop! It's amazing," She slaps my hand away, adjusting the cape to flow in its place over the tale of the dress, "The gold color suits your hair so much."

"Really? Not too sparkly?"

"Stop criticizing the dress! We literally choose it together, I studied fashion and I'm telling you it's perfect," She exclaims, rolling her eyes before it falls om my mirror reflection, "Also there's no time to change anything the party is about to start, everyone is downstairs."

I groan, "I'm having second thoughts."

"Just think about the bunch of hot Latino babes you're gonna boss around, at least you're not doing boring lawyer work like me." She wiggles her eyebrows, teasingly, wrapping her arms around my shoulders from behind.

I chuckle, "Maybe we should run away together."

"If you want my brothers to chase you to the other side of the world," She adds, sarcastically, "Sure."

Pulling away, she takes a seat on the bed as I put my earrings on, "Speaking of your brothers, I can't believe bitch-ass Damon is not here tonight."

"He says sorry for not making it," She tries to justify, but I knew better, "You know he's busy with work in Florida."

I give her a really look, "We both know he's not, it's his ego that's itching."

She sighs, giving up on trying to make up excuses for him, "I warned you both, fucking behind everyone's back is a bad idea."

"He didn't even apologize for turning me down before leaving to Florida."

"You turned him down first." She points out.

"We were in a family gathering," I exclaim, Ross-Geller-style, "There was a 300% chance of us getting caught."

She raises her hands up in surrender, "I'm not taking a side in this, you're both even."

"He still should have attended my special day, no one is here, Mateo is not here, neither is Nando, not even Zoe." I frown, slightly realizing, "All my friends abandoned me."

"Hey!" Delilah protests, "I've not slept for the past three days to help you, and I have not left your side for the past month," She frowns deeply, "And what's with this Zoe popping up lately?"

"Why? Are you jealous over me?" I look at her reflection in the mirror, wiggling my eyebrows, amused, "Don't worry no one will take your place."

She opens her mouth to respond but a knock on the door cuts her off. With her heels clicking, she walks to the door, opening it and speaking to someone who I couldn't see for a minute before she throws me kiss in the air, waltzing out.

I stand there confused for a second before Nicolas steps into the room,

Oh.

He looked hella fresh in his black tux, his hair sleeked to perfection and his pearly white Hollywood smile adoring his face.
