Ruby's P.O.V.
Gregory was just as I remembered him. Tall, blond, good looking, and kind. When he saw me he wrapped me up in a tight hug.
"It's good to see you, Ruby!" He said as he stepped back to look at me, "You look well."
"I am well. Blake has taken good care of me." I whispered slightly.
"I'm sure he has." Gregory sounded slightly jealous but he concealed it by laughing and looking at Blake.
"We have urgent business to discuss about, Gregory. My cousin is still on the loose!" Blake said looking pissed.
"Indeed we do. Come this way!" Gregory said as he led us into his house and to his office.
I knew this house well, it had been my safe haven when I truly needed one, and I knew every room here. I would never forget being hugged by a laughing and happy Gregory, thinking at the time that he could be my mate.
These were things I couldn't think about for fear of Blake finding out and hating me for it.
"Now, what exactly is the problem?" Gregory asked Blake.
"We'll, my cousin has intentions of taking Ruby for himself. He tried to get me to fight you and you pack by telling me that you were planning on attacking me, so something must be done about him before someone gets hurt!" Blake's voice shook slightly but his eyes remained steady and anger filled.
"Something will be done , Blake. This I assure you, if need be I will kill your cousin, for Lucian has been troublesome for us both. I'm sure he will turn tail and run when he figures out that both our packs are after him." Gregory said as he sat down at his desk chair.
"Your support and friendship is much appreciated, Gregory!" I said smiling at him.
"I have always had your back, Ruby! I wouldn't let anything hurt you!" Gregory said as he pinched the bridge of his nose, "I have to say though, something I noticed about Lucian when he came here, he seemed a little loose minded. Perhaps it would be wise to watch you backs, after all you never know what he's planning."
"Will do, Gregory." Blake said as he grabbed my hand and led us out of the house to his waiting pack.
We shifted forms and took off towards home.
Blake seemed slightly distant from me and it made me worry if Gregory had sent him something through a mind link.
"Blake, what's wrong?" I questioned as I ran closer to him.
"He said he asked you to marry him once upon a time. Was this true?" I sighed knowing that I wasn't going to get around not telling him.
"Yes. I told him no. That I viewed him like he was my brother." I said as I slowed my pace to match his, "There was never anything between us, so it doesn't matter now."
"Yes it does matter. It matters because you're mine!" he hissed.
"We all know this, Blake. Don't do this now. We're both happy right?" I had a feeling he was mad at me but I didn't know why, "Did I do something wrong?"
"Yes, by not staying around at the highschool instead of running off into the forrest where the rogues could have gotten you!" he half yelled.
"Oh, so you wanted me to stay where Misty could torture me is that it?" I said softly, "You know something, maybe I should have said this a different way, I didn't say yes to Gregory because not only was he like my brother, but I knew that you were out there waiting. Though now I'm not sure, even though you are supposed to be my mate!"
