"Man it feels good to be out of school!" I said to Nick as we went down the first hole on our first day of summer. Me and Nick have been friends for years. We know each other's personalities like the back of our own hand. We were both lucky enough to get on the varsity golf team this year as freshman at flower mound high. We both live on the best golf course in Texas, Hawkeye GC. We have had memberships at the course for only 1 year, but everyone who works there knows us. We try to get out together about 4 or 5 times a week to play or just hit some balls. But, during the summer we play almost every day.
By the ninth hole we were both only 1 over and hungry." Hey, you wanna get sonethin' to eat at the turn" I said to Nick. "I guess so, I am kind of hungry" he said so we went into the resturaunt and got the 5 dollar chicken strips and fries the went to the tenth tee.
We both played very well on the back 9, I shot 1 under and Nick shot even. We had a good day and were ready to go home. We both figured out who's house to go to and once we had decided, walked there.
Once we got to the house we sat and watched some golf on the TV. "Who's your favorite right now man?" Nick said. "I don't know, there are so many good guys on the tour; what about you?" I said in remark." I like Jordan Spieth, he has so much composure when he plays." He came back with. "I agree but I also think that the older guys like Phil or mabey Kuchar are better than him." "Oh so now you have an opinion now?" He said sarcasyicly "Nah man just stating a fact that they have more composure because they are older and have played more". We kept a friendly banter going for a bit and played his Xbox for a while then I went home to find some thing I didn't want to know.
