We were the last tee time on the second day of the tournament. We did not HQ e to get there very early. We still did though both going through our warmupa . I was hitting the ball horribly. I knew that I was trying to smash the ball all the way to the moon so I slowed my swing down. "You aright dude you seem a little flustered?" Nick questioned. I replied with " Ya, I don't know what's goin on I think I'm trying to hit too hard". There was a little pause them he said " Dude, just slow it down and you will be fine.".

I took this advice and ran with it. I did just what he said and then some. I started the day with a birdie and 3 pars, but then it got dicey. I was at the tee feeling good and thought I was on to of the world and lost my focus. There were houses on the left and the hole wrapped around them so, I thought I would try and Carrie them ( hit over them). I looked at my yardage book and it was 283 yo the other end of the houses. I hit the ball well bit didn't think it was enough. When I found the ball it was not good. I got over but hit a hill and rolled into the fence. I had to take and unplayable to score a double bogey.

I played decent the rest of the round but lost one more stroke on the 18th with a missed 5 foot putt and lost my lead. This was not bad though because Nick had the lead by 5 now after playing an amazing round.

"Dude, I know I did not keep the lead bit you saved me!" I said enthusiasticly. He said "Bro, you didn't play that bad but I still played better and beat your butt." He said sarcasticly. "Hey man that is offensive." I said laughing at my self. He replied "I think they are going to DQ me cause I said that to you so don't say that so loud." He kiddingly said. He ended up winning and earning $ 1,500 for the course and we were on our way to raising the money to save the course.
