When I got home it seemed to be normal. My dad was in watching TV and my mom was cooking. Then my mom called me in to the kitchen. "Hey, sweetheart how was golf today." She said sweetly. "It was awesome I played really well." I said half excitedly and half to tired to talk. "Hey, um... I need to tell you something that I was told today." She said acting worried. "Once I dropped you at the course today I went into the proshop to talk with the pro about lessons. A when I got in there, he told me no more lessons and that the course was closing down at the end if summer." She said. "WHAT, WHY!?" I said and she replied with,"They are short on their dues by 20,000 dollars and have no means to raise the money" she said in sadness. And them I got the idea.

"Why don't me and nick play in some tournaments for money?" I said very happily, and mom said "That is a great idea honey why don't you and nick instead of golfing tommorow do some research on tournaments!" She said happily. I thought this was a great idea and I said "Ya, let's do it!"

When we did some research we found an amass of tournaments. They all had about a $1000 or $2000 prize. For the tournaments there were about 50 players and they were all very good. "Hey, dude these kids are good." He said acting worried. "Hey if we can shoot even or 1 under on both of the days of the tourneys we still can do well." I said in a reassuring tone. "Ya, but we probably won't win" he said and I replied with "Ya, I know we don't have to win top 5 spots get prize money." I said thinking that would calm him down and it did.

We had about 2 weeks until the tournaments started so we played and practiced every day. We played together a lot but we also tried to get out alone. Both of us seemed to play very well with both ways. This was very good because it is one thing to play alone and play well but playing with other people makes it harder. We had seen a couple of the people at the course that played on the tour. We asked them to mabey help us out with what we were doing and all of them said no. They basically told us that we were stupid to try this and to go and screw ourselves but this wouldn't get us down.

On the last day before we had our first tournament we took a break. We both went to see a movie and went bowling. This was in my opinion a great thing. We had done so much prep for the tournament we needed a break. We promised ourselves that we would go to bed early so we were nice and rested. We both did this in hopes for the next day to come.
