Jon let out a small yelp as his eyes locked with Eduardo's.
"What are you doing with them?" He barked, giving Edd and Matt a glare, which Edd not-so-kindly returned.
"I-I came to get Ranger and-"
"Who's Ranger?" Eduardo gave Jon a look. Jon grabbed Ranger from Matt's arms, turning back around.
"Remember? The pet I asked if I could keep." Jon said timidly.
"Aww, he's so cute!" Mark said, smiling. Eduardo gave him a glare.
"I mean - stupid rat." Mark corrected, blushing slightly. Jon gave Mark a glare, holding Ranger tight.
"He's not a rat!" He defended.
"You're right, you are!" Eduardo sneered, causing both him and Mark to laugh.
"Hey, that's not very nice!" Matt barked, stepping in front of Jon, protectively swinging his arm in front of him.
"Matt, don't..." Edd said gently. At this point, Tom had wandered over, a bottle of Smirnoff in his hands.
"Fight! Fight!" Tom chanted, chuckling drunkenly. Edd shot him a glare, snatching the Smirnoff from his hands and throwing it onto the sidewalk.
"Mother fu-" Edd gave him another glare.
"Flying pancakes on a Tuesday - what was that for?!" Tom growled. Edd ignored him, turning back to Matt and the neighbors.
"Get outta the way, stupid ginger!" Eduardo growled.
"He's not a stupid ginger, he's a beautiful ginger!" Jon piped, but quickly covered his mouth as blush spread across his face.
Everyone just stared at Jon, shocked.
"I-I didn't mean to say that..." Jon mumbled, looking at his feet.
"Wait... you... and him..." Mark looked from Jon to Matt.
"No. No." Eduardo glared at Jon.
"What do you-?" Jon was cut off.
"As long as you live under my roof, you will not see this- this... idiot." Eduardo growled.
"Well maybe I don't want to stay under your roof!" He barked back, stepping forwards.
"Is that a threat?" Eduardo stepped forwards as well, causing Jon to flinch back.
"N-no..."
"That's what I thought, now get over here. We're going home." Jon went to step forwards but Matt continued to stand in the way.
"Actually, he won't be going anywhere." Matt said matter-of-factly. Edd and Tom looked at each other.
"What do you mean, ginger?" Eduardo growled, turning to look at him. Jon gave a small whimper.
"Matt... don't-"
"Quiet, Jon!" Eduardo snapped.
"He's gonna stay with me." Matt said, locking his eyes to Eduardo's. Edd and Tom gave collective gasps.
"Hah! You think those two will allow it? Please, Jon will come running back to us in a matter of days." Mark spat. Matt looked over at Edd, his emerald eyes sparkling with anxiety, giving him a please help look.
"He can stay." Edd said firmly. Tom's jaw dropped.
"WHAT?!"
"Tom shut up-" Matt glared at him, which Tom returned with a hand gesture that made Edd scowl.
