Luke never returned my voicemail. And it sucks because the guilt is eating me alive.  What was wrong with me? Why did I say yes to Lucas? And speaking of, Lucas won't stop calling me; singing random lyrics that makes my head one step closer to blowing off.

I rolled to the other side of the bed to reach my phone which was ringing. I didn't bother to look at the caller id. Because it's clearly Lucas.

"I swear to god, Lucas if you sing-"

"It's not Lucas."

The husky voice made me tense. It wasn't Lucas; it was Luke. I gulped.

"H-hey. You never called back." I said.

"Something inevitable came up. And I, I am still upset with two certain people." He said.

"So, you're speaking professionally now?" I smirked.

"No. It's my way of saying, 'I don't want to talk to you, screw you, and fuck you.'"

"Harsh." I snickered.

"Whatever. I have to go and prepare. I'll pick you up."

I registered his words, "Wait, what? No-"

But he hang up. Crap.

I was planning on not going to the  comet night because of the situation. I changed into a pair of leggings and a blue shirt. I got on my laptop and just watched 'Easy A'.

After a few minutes, a car beeped down on just my driveway. I paused the movie and went to see who it was.

"Rapunzel! Let down your hair!" Lucas shouted.

I chuckled at his cheesiness. "Rapunzel!" He shouted once more.

I hurried downstairs; opened the door and saw Lucas.

"Oh hey Avery." He said, casually.

"You're a dork, you know that?" I jokingly said.

"No. But I- what are you wearing?!"

"What? I'm not going to the comet night. I got lazy." I reasoned.

"Uh, hell no, you ain't going to cancel on me. Go, change clothes or I will change your clothes for you."

"Wast that a threat or a joke?" I laughed.

"Eh, a little bit of both." He audaciously smiled.

Oh god, that smile.
