Part 4

Mew POV

It has been three days, there was no sign of Emma. Was she...? Oh no! No! She is not dead. She is not. She can't be. She won't be. I know it. I strongly feel that she is okay. She is... I was not myself anymore. I was in a strangers house with a dog. House arrested. Kidnapped. And I had just stabbed a woman.

If she died I don't think I would be able to see myself the same way again. Specially when I know now that she was just trying to protect me. I could never forgive myself. Never.

My routine would be more like get no sleep, trying invading her laptop to try and find something but I would fail miserably. Feeding Dusky more than three times a day. Seeing her photos again and again. Think of her every second. Praying she was alright. Trying to find and think who was behind all this ? Taking a shower and eat something to keep myself alive. Look at the window at all times to see if I can see Emma.

Every time the elevator door would open I would peep through the key hole but it would never be on our floor. No one lived on our floor. I soon realized that no one lived here. It was just an old lady on the fifth floor. I started stalking her when ever she walked out of the building from the window. She was the only one coming in and out of the building.

I started panicking. I needed to know. How is she? How would I do that ?

Lis POV

I was in trance. Heavily drugged. I tried to open my eyes. I felt better. I needed to go home. I switched on the bell and waited. A cute thai nurse came around - yes..?

I need to speak with Adrian. "Can you please call him for me ?" I answered

"Well, You can tell me. Maybe I can help ?" She said smiling widely, cheerfully like a school teenage girl.

I glared at her with a cold face for a minute.

"Okay..........I will be right back." She said changing her expression to fear.

I closed my eyes and tried to get up. I pulled out the drips from my hand and started wearing my clothes. When I heard Adrian come in.

"Oh no no no. You're not going anywhere. I said end of the week Lis." Adrian shouted at me.

I looked at Adrian. "Well, it is almost end of week. I have to go. I am feeling better."

"No." Adrian looked at me with anger.

I signed and walked over to him and placed my hands on his sides of his face and pulled closer until our foreheads met.

"I missed you, Ed." I said closing my eyes and breathing deeply. Adrian placed his hands caressing my arms.

"Nice try. But I am not letting you go." I chuckled.

"I have to..." I looked at him.

"You always do that... Don't. You always melt me." Adrian said closing his eyes.

I smiled. "Because I can. I love you, Ed. Let's meet soon okay?" I said softly and kissed his cheek and moved away.

I was walking towards the exit when I heard Adrian - "You better! Otherwise you're not allowed here! Which I hardly doubt that you will not come here, This is your second home!"

I turned, smiled and waved bye to him. He waved back.

"Be safe and don't die this time." He said with a smile.

"Can't promise.." I said and walked away. I knew he had tears in his eyes.

I drove towards the house and stopped midway to grab some groceries, medical store for some medicines prescribed my Adrian and an arms store, I needed a new handcuffs.
