It's been months since you met Anti, and now he tends to stay the night on your pull out couch. And let me just say, it's been a hell of a time.

For the first few weeks, you'd just bring a picnic basket and the two of you would chat, ask more questions, and teach eachother bits about your different worlds.

That only stopped because you got a nasty cold and could barely get up to go to the bathroom, much less the park. When that happened, he worried because you didn't show up at the park. He checked your house and found you emptying your guts in the bathroom. He helped you get back to bed and gave you some meds, then left. He checked on you all throughout the sickness, and after it passed, the two of you took to hanging out at home.

Since then, you taught him how to juggle (he's still getting the hang of it but he'll be a pro with more practice), you've shown a slight proficiency with magic, and you've both gotten to be close.

Close enough that he wants to show you his home.

It was kind of an on-a-whim suggestion when he asked if you wanted to go on a trip.

"To where?" You crossed your legs and rested your bowl of cereal into the cradle your legs made. You paused the video on your laptop to hear Anti better.

He leans against the doorframe of your bedroom. "Well, I was thinking that I could show you the place I come from."

Your eyes immediately brighten. You set your bowl on the bedside table and bounce off the bed. You plant your hands firmly on his shoulders and stare into his eyes.

"Fuck. Yes."

Immediately, you are bouncing around the room, changing into sturdy leggings behind your foldable changing wall thing ((what are those called?)) And slipping on your father's old military jacket with, like, a hundred pockets. You pull on your shoes, hopping around on one foot like a Doof, jumping right back up when you fall.

Anti watches this unfold with a WTF if this bitch doing look on his face. You set your laptop in the center of the bed and turn to Anti.

"Ok, let's go." You gesture at the computer.

He blinks a few times. "Wait, hold up, now?"

"Yeah. Why not? I'm not doing anything else. Are you?" You ask, knowing the answer.

He crosses his arms, "Well, I guess I'm not." After looking around the room in thought, he smiles and walks up to be next to you. "You sure you wanna do this, darling?"

"You bet I do, sugar." You fired back with a smirk.

Without warning, he wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you tightly against his chest. You don't even have time to blush before you feel the sensation of wind whipping around you.

You get that funny feeling in your stomach that you get when you go down a hill on a rollercoaster. You 'eep!' and hold onto Anti tighter. A bright light surrounds you, with light blue sparks flying past, barely nipping at your skin. A slight buzz is continuously playing behind the sound of the wind. Anti holds you tighter, almost protectively.

Then it all stops.

Everything stops at once, confusing your senses more. Anti slightly releases his grip, but holds you steady until your senses realign and your dizziness fades. You pat his arm to let him know you're fine, and he lets you go, even if his hand lingers on your elbow a bit longer than needed.

You'd closed your eyes to ease your senses, and now you open them. At first, you see strange blue-grey-green grass ((say that ten times fast..)) under your Converse. You eyes travel upwards and you see a building veiled in shadows.

It's a mansion, and it's massive. It looks like how you would imagine a spooky haunted house from a book, except less cobwebs and no tombstones. In fact the lawn is completely bare, save for a small, overgrown stone path.

It's on a hill, but there is no horizon and no eerie full moon looming behind it. The sky is dark but there are no stars. It's slightly off-putting.

You stand quietly for a moment, taking in the scene. When you exhale, your lips move to make a silent 'wow'.

A light turns on in the mansion. Upon seeing this, Anti swears half-heartedly, "I'd hoped that asshole wouldn't be home."

"Who?" You ask.

Anti looks at you, like he forgot you were there, then looks back the the building. "I guess you could say he's a roommate." He takes your hand and guides you along behind him as he walks to the door.

He bangs the door with his fist once, and waits as the door swings open. It's quiet, but not silent, and not cheesy horror movie sound effect either.

As soon as you both walk in, a man in a grey suit enters from the door at the end of the corridor.

The man speaks with a low, smooth baritone, "Ah, what a surprise... Sean is back, and with a prize no less." He walks to you and takes your hand, gently placing a kiss on your knuckles. It's very gentlemanly, but you can't help but notice the aura of malevolence radiating from him. It clings to your skin like slime, and you feel like if you were any closer, it would be suffocating. As gently as you can, you pull your hand away.

Anti plants his hand firmly on Suit-and-tie's chest and gives him a moderate shove.

"Back the fuck up, Dark."

The man, Dark, raises his hands in mock surrender. "No need to get hostile, now." Dark looks at you, smirking. "I simply wanted to get a closer look at this gorgeous prize of yours."

You resist the urge to slink back behind Anti. You keep your feet planted firmly on the tile and push a strong glare into Dark's eyes. Dark's smile falls as he pushes the glare back.

You're both locked in a staring contest. You feel a little flare of rage in your chest and the edges of your vision flare brightly for a moment. Dark closes his eyes and turns his head away a bit, he looks back at the two of you, but won't meet your eyes with the same vivacity. ((Not sure if I used that word right))

Dark smiles again. "It was a pleasure." He bows, and dissolves into a soft cloud of smoke.

An: I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I love and hate this chapter because I wrote Dark exactly how I wanted him to turn out in this book; malicious, a bit of a dick, and very suductive. Oh dear Christ, I wanna start a book for Dark now...
