"Dad, get away from me!" I ran outside and slammed the door, tripping over the trailer steps as I did. I ran to school, I ran all the way there not stopping. I was out of breathe...."Karter" I screamed. He looked up from where he was talking to his friends. "Behind you!" I looked behind me, there he was. My dad was getting out of his black 1990 Corvette. He lunged towards me and grabbed a piece of my grey T-shirt. I struggled for a second before Karter had pushed my dad down. "We need to get her out of here, now!". Karters friends took hold of my arms and dragged me inside the school. "Let me go! Don't leave him out there!" I looked out to where Karter had pinned my dad down "Who the hell do you think you are?
