Thank you for finishing 'The Witch's Hour'. I hope you had as much fun reading it as I had writing it.
At first, it wasn't the plan to join ONC. Perhaps, I would do it if there was a prompt that fit one of the many ideas floating in my brain. Then the prompts were released, and I did find one that I could use.
Initially, I only had the last part of the story in my head. It was supposed to be the opening chapters of Sebastian in the third book of the series 'A New Dawn'. But I figured that I could expand the story if I wrote it from Scirocco's POV and use the novella as a bridge between The Midnight Storm and A New Dawn Rises. It would also allow me to explore the world of Scoria, a country only mentioned in the main series.
Sadly, yes, Scirocco's tragic fate was sealed from the start.
Since I am still writing The Midnight Storm, I kept certain things vague. The spoilers are only minor ones, like the fact Seb and Fox survive book 2.
At some stage, most likely after the ONC results have been posted, I will expand certain scenes and add all the bits that would have been too spoilerish.
Once again, thank you for the support and the comments. While I don't always reply to comments, please know that they always brighten up the otherwise silent and lonely writing experience. I appreciate any feedback.
