[GDR #1] The Girl That I Can't Resist [COMPLETED]

DAY 10.5

Bluff noticed a familiar figure as soon as he parked his car. Nasa Nuala's siya for his weekly meeting with the staffs after closing. Nuala's was one of the restaurants that their family owns and he had been managing it since he graduated college.

Although during his dark years, si Staedem ang sumalo sa pagma-manage ng resto hanggang sa nahimasmasan siya.

For the past two years, he had been focusing all his attention on expanding Nuala's so he frequently visits the resto.

Kumunot ang noo ni Bluff nang mapansin niyang ilang minuto na ang nakakaraan ay hindi pa rin pumapasok ang babae. Bumaba siya sa kotse para sana lapitan ito ngunit natigil siya nang mapansin niyang nanginginig ito.

Should he approach her?

For some reason, he couldn't muster the courage to greet her.

After a few more seconds, he saw her heave a deep sigh, as if trying to calm her nerves. She slapped her cheeks lightly while saying, "You can do this, Ten"  then she went inside.

Nakita ni Bluff na dumiretso si Ten sa isa sa mga corner tables nila. Iyon ang madalas pwestohan ng mga customers na gusto ng konting privacy. Napansin din ni Bluff ang dalawang taong nauna nang nakaupo doon.

He couldn't see their faces dahil nakatalikod ang mga ito sa kinatatayuan niya.  He had a hunch that it was Ten's ex-boyfriend, Dan. And judging by the tense atmosphere around that table, the other person must be the other girl. 

Umupo si Ten sa tapat ng dalawa. Bluff noticed how hard Ten was trying to calm herself and not cry. Hindi niya mapigilang makaramdam ng pagka-asar sa Dan na 'yon.

How dare him make her feel that way?

"Damn it."

Hindi niya inalis ang tingin sa table nila Ten. One tear and he'll take her away.

Hindi niya marinig ang pinag-uusapan ng mga ito pero base sa ekspresyon ng mukha ni Ten, malamang ay kinokompronta nito ang dalawa.

He couldn't help but admire her courage to face her problems head-on.

Noong siya ang nasaktan, half the time he was in denial and the other half, he was trying to find ways to destroy himself. He thought that if he did that, Denise will took pity on him and take him back. Even if she was the reason for their break up, he badly loved her. But no matter how long he waited, she never looked back.

Maybe if he was half as brave as Ten, his family wouldn't have to suffer because of his foolishness.

Nakita niyang umiyak ang babaeng kaharap ni Ten. Dan was comforting the girl while Ten was just staring blankly at them.

Tumayo ang babae at naglakad papunta sa exit kung saan nakatayo si Bluff. The girl walked pass Bluff. Tumayo rin si Dan para sumunod dito ngunit bago pa makahakbang si Dan ay nahawakan ni Ten ang dulo ng t-shirt ng lalaki para pigilan ito sa pag-alis.
