I catch sight of Jack as we get to the park, he managed to escape Daisy and is coming my way, his brown curls balancing in the air and with his dark blue hoodie that seems too damn comfortable. Thinking about what Michael said, and the 'don't you dare' look he is giving me right now, I turn around heading the other way in order to avoid him. He gets the message and stops in his tracks giving me a weird look that seemed almost hurt.

We gather around, making a big circle, all seated in the grass. The guys start discussing a game to play, ending up in a discussion of wether we should play truth or dare or never have I ever. My phone rings and I excuse myself, walking over to the edge of the lake, asking them to call out to me when they figure out which game they want to play.

" Yes" I answer as I successfully reach the spot I was aiming for. It is pretty dark but the street lights manage to enlighten it enough for me to see where I'm stepping.

" Where the hell are you guys?" Rachel, aka mom of the group, almost yells through the phone. I remember now I totally forgot to tell her where we were going.

" Flynn asked if we wanted to join him and the team for a victory dinner" I update her and she sights, probably running her hands through her hair. " Sorry, I forgot to tell you" I apologize, realizing I told her I would be right there and I'm about two hours late.

" It's okay" she assures me and I hear Alexis voice saying something that I'm not able to decipher " Anyway, be safe and back before the curfew! You don't need to have problems in your first week" Rachel advises and I smile at her motherly figure.

" Yes mom!" I can just guess she is rolling her eyes, without having to see her " I'll see you back in the room, love you" I tell her, hanging up after hearing her say it back. I let myself stay in the spot for a while, since they probably are still figuring the game out.

Looking up at the sky, I realize we can't see any stars. It is definitely related to the air pollution and I frown, remembering the starry sky we had back home. Me and my brothers used lay down in the grass looking up to the sky and chose our favorite star. Every night we chose a different one and by the time we got back to the house we were all itchy due to the grass.

" A penny for your toughs" A too familiar voice reaches my ear, the strawberry minty breath filling my senses and I jump scared.

" What the hell?" I whisper shout, putting a hand on my heart that is about a hundred times faster after the frightful situation he just put me through. Obviously, he burst out laughing like crazy at my reaction " You are an asshole" I insult him, pushing him against a tree nearby.

" You have to admit it was pretty funny" I glare at his smiley face, ready to punch him so he stops laughing at me. He catches my hand before I can hurt him " That's not really nice, blondie" he voices the nickname I still haven't gotten used to.

"I wasn't trying to be" my hand drops from his grip and I cross my arms angrily " What are you doing here anyway?" I ask, we should be back there with the group. Oh no, if I'm here and he is here, Michael is probably putting two and two together by now.

" Relax, I told them I needed to get something from my car and they didn't see me heading this way" he said,  probably realizing the worry in my face. I nod getting calmer and he raises his eyebrow. I can barely see the details of his face with this light, but the sharpness of his jawline and the grey of his eyes are still visible " Now, are you going to tell me why you literally ran away from me back there?"

" I don't know what you are talking about" I shrug, walking past him so I can get back to the group. He holds my arm, stopping me in my tracks and I sight " Fine" I walk back, placing my self in front of him " I just don't want Daisy to think I'm trying to steal you from her " I confess and he gives me a confused face.
