12: Head Boy!?!

Alex's POV

1st September, 7 am

Today all the other students are coming to Hogwarts. Minnie has arranged for me to join them on the train. I'm going to be apparated to Kingscross station, and board the train there, just like everybody else to start my Hogwarts journey. I purposely told no one, so that it's a surprise.

"Alex, are you ready?" Minnie calls.

"Coming Minnie!"

We apparate to Kingscross and Minnie returns to Hogwarts, to enjoy her last student free moments for the rest of the year. It's 10:40 am so I just wait close to the barrier. At 10:45 am I go through and wait for James, Sirius, Lily and Remus. Suddenly I hear a shout.

"Alex! What are you doing here?" Sirius exclaims.

"Surprise! Minnie thought it would be nice if I took the train with you guys."

"Let's get on the train," James suggests.

"I'm gonna wait for Lily, I'll see you later."

"Sure, see you!" James says as he makes his way onto the train. Seconds later Lily comes through the barrier.

"Alex? Aren't you supposed to be at Hogwarts?"

"Yeah, but Minnie said I could take the train."

"Okay, good to see you. I need to get to the Heads compartment."

"I'll join you until the train leaves."

Together we enter the Heads compartment where Lily starts sorting through stacks of paper. Minutes later James comes in.

"What are you doing here Potter?" Lily sighs.

"I'm the Head boy, so I'm here to fulfill my duty."
"I'm gonna go find the other boys, see you, James, Lily," I say before I flee the scene. I find the guys' compartment and burst into laughter.

"Wassup?" Sirius asks me.

"I was in the Heads compartment with Lily, and I realized I never told her James is Head boy. James comes into the compartment and Lily asks him why he's there. James just goes, 'I'm the Head boy, so I'm here to fulfill my duty.' Lily's face was priceless." I say before I erupt into another fit of giggles.

"James didn't even try to flirt with Evans!" Sirius just about yells.

"Well... I left right after that so I can't really know for sure."

"Ugh, Alex! Evans is going to kill you!"

"I figured that much, so hide me before I have to deal with the wrath of an angry red-head. I think James is probably also not going to be all to forgiving towards me, as I didn't notify his precious Lilyflower that he's this years Head boy."

As predicted minutes later a raging Lily Evans storms in with an annoyed James Potter hot on her heels.

"Where. Is. Alex." Lily growls through clenched teeth.

"Ah, Lils, I see you had some fun," I say with a cheeky grin, Lily just growls in return. "Uh uh Lily, I know the future, and you know it too. There's some things we can't prevent happening." I just give her a smug smile and wink, she glares. Out of the corner of my eye I can see Remus sitting there with a knowing grin plastered on his face.
