the room was pitch black. alex could see the outline of george, his chest rising and falling slowly as he slept. he rested his head on his arm as he lay there. he let out a small sigh. 'why am i like this?' he thought as he looked at george. he could hear james and will giggling together on the other side of the room.

even when he closed his eyes he could still see george, his dark blue eyes and mouse brown hair. no matter how hard alex tried he could not get him out of his head, he was always there. he couldn't remember how long he'd felt like this for, months, years maybe.

the slow pitter-patter of rain met alex's ears, he loved the rain. he'd always imagine sitting out in a huge field with his soul mate, just messing around under the dark clouds.

alex thought about how george was the only person he really needed, he remembered how they would sleep in the same bed like little kids and how sometimes they laughed so hard it hurt. but that wasn't enough. alex couldn't help sneaking small glances at him when he wasn't looking, couldn't help blushing if the eye contact lasted a second too long.

i'm fucked
i'm so, so fucked.

those words kept circulating around alex's brain. in the beginning he hoped his feeling would just go away with time, alas that was not the case. this stupid 'infatuation' had lasted a lot longer then alex expected and he couldn't see the feelings ever going away.

he rubbed his eyes in frustration and shifted his position so he was now facing away from george. he closed his eyes and tried to fall into the peaceful abyss that was sleep. of course, you can't just tell your brain to go to sleep and expect it to do as you say, alex rolled his eyes and pulled his duvet up to his chin, hugging it slightly.

no matter how hard he tried his brain just wouldn't switch off. he quietly lifted his head and looked around the room. fraser and josh were already sound asleep, snoring slightly. james and will were also asleep, lying closer then what was considered 'normal' for two guys . then alex's eyes fell onto george's sleeping figure. he looked so peaceful, alex could be his slow breathing.

slowly alex laid back down and closed his eyes, finally falling asleep.

i'm sorry all the chapters in this book are insanely short, i have little to no motivation and this is all i'm able to write. otherwise you'd be looking at an update every 2 months. and i don't really wanna do that to you :))
