On the days where there's nothing to do, Black Veil Brides would surf the internet, watching cover videos of their songs. it was a great feeling, the feeling of acknowledgement and that they had fans who loved their music. each and every cover video was special to the band, but there was one video, which changed so much in their lives.

the girl in the video had long black hair, streaked with dark and light brown. Her jagged bangs hung in her dark brown eyes and there was a really light spray of freckles over her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. as she leaned away from her webcam, she smiled, a small smile. she cradled her guitar in her arms, lightly strumming the strings with her long, pale fingers. she sang Knives and Pens in the video, Black Veil Brides' first song. she did the acoustic version. her voice was soft, but really clear. it was really beautiful, like a lullaby and the band watched, nobody made a sound.when she was finished, she leaned towards the webcam with a smile. she had a great smile. it wasn't one of those big, fake smiles people plaster on their faces when they had to kiss somebody's ass, it was a real, genuine smile. "Thanks for watching my video, " she said in the same soft, sing-song voice. "i did try to do the original version of Knives and Pens by the Black Veil Brides, and i tried to scream the way Andy did,(Andy smiled when she said his name) but i ended up sounding like someone stepped on a poodle." the band chuckled at that.

the video left a deep impression on each of the band members, especially Andy. he did watch the video a couple more times when he was alone, he really did love the way she smiled and sang, like she really loved what she was doing. it lead to him watching her other videos. he found out her name was Indigo. she seemed to live a life of sunshine and rainbows, she shared an apartment with three of her classmates in college, she loved cats and she always seemed to surround herself in a bubble of loving energy. and Andy felt like he really got to know her.
