"So you're telling me, I was your first kiss" Xavier said with a smile as we walked out of movies. It was a good movie we shared popcorn and held hands, it actually felt right.
"Yes" I said playfully rolling my eyes at how excited he looked.
"What about that boy you used to date?" he said turning to look at me
"Alrick, Alex, Andrew shit what's his name again""Albert" I said with a sigh "He only dated me as a joke and yes we never kissed"
"Well he's stupid" he said smiling down at me. I shivered as the night was cold and Xavier handed me his black leather jacket.
"Thank you" I smiled at him "And you don't have to try to make me feel better, I know dating him was too good to be true. I'm weird and boring, I wear oversized t-shirts and baggy clothes because I want to."
"I actually think you're cute" he smiled before helping me on to the bike.
Don't forget he's a player Yasmin.
I held him tight and closed my eyes.
After what felt like a few minutes he stopped and I opened my eyes. We weren't in front of our homes. I smiled and stared at the restaurant.
~
"Well"I looked up at my bestfriend "You waited."
"Of course I did" he said giving me a sad smile.
It has been two hours and he still wasn't here. The boy I was supposed to be on a date with.
"Why does this keep happening to me?" I said quietly wanting to cry.
"Look on the bright side, you get to spend a wonderful evening with me" Xavier said staring into my eyes "He's stupid, he didn't deserve you anyway."
I smiled at that.
~"Yasmin?"
"Yasmin?!"
"Oh yeah" I said letting him go.
"Hungry" he said with a smirk.
"Whatever" I said hiding my red face.
He chuckled and we both walked in.

"Thanks for tonight, I guess" I said as Xavier followed me up to the door."Yeah it was a good night" he said with smile "Do it again soon."
I stared into his eyes with a smile, he brushed a strand of hair out of my face and I blushed. He begin leaning in, oh my gosh he's gonna kiss me. The smile suddenly came off his face and he walked away.
"Goodnight Yasmin" he said still walking away, he sounded angry.
I stepped in the house confused.
What just happened?
"Well how was it?" Cynthia questioned.
"It was great, better than expected" I said trying to remember the good things from tonight while walking up the stairs.
I laid on my bed and checked my phone.
Oh my gosh he posted the picture on instagram. Ok umm it's no big deal right?
Is everything ok-
I cleared the message and closed my phone.
This isn't real Yasmin, remember you're faking it.
But the way he was tonight I felt like he was my bestfriend again. The bestfriend I fell in love with. The bestfriend I'm still in love with.

Sunday came around reminding me I'm still alive."Did something happened last night?" Cynthia asked, watching me play with my breakfast.
Xavier is just confusing.
"No, I'm just feeling a little sick" I lied.
"Morning ladies I just talked to the Blakes', they will be over for dinner" my dad walked in with a grin "You know how we used to get together, it's time to bring back those dinner"
"Isn't that great" Cynthia said grinning at me.
