Hello Kryo/Halo here, this is just a note to all the new readers.
The first few chapters are pretty poorly written (in my opinion) and are also in first person pov, so if you don't really like that please just bare with me. They switch to third person by chapter 4. It will be worth it I promise.
And also, before you start reading here's all the things you need to know (they were written in the book description but idk maybe you didn't read it some people don't)
This book is an AU where each character is a wolf, just a reminder. It also has a6d in it. I know there are a lot of people who don't really like him, and if you are one of those people feel free to leave. I started this book way before all of the dumb drama started. It also contains blood/injury.
That you for reading this if you did, and I hope you enjoy!

Skeppy POV
I have been wandering though these endless stretch of woods for days now. Maybe weeks. I can't remember anymore. That's not what I'm focusing on. I look around hopelessly for anything to eat.
My unusual bright blue color keeps away any prey I could possibly eat. Ever since the day I learned to hunt I never could catch anything. Anything I was going after could always see me coming and quickly dart away before I could catch it.
I look to the sky to see how much light the is left but I can barely see anything. The large trees in this forest keep most sunlight from reaching the ground, so I am clueless as to the time. But it is nice to have shade while traveling. I sigh before continuing forward.
I look around as I walk. Everything looks the same. Trees, bushes, dirt, and more trees. I've completely lost track of where I am or where I'm going. Hopefully I've gotten far enough to pass the borders of my old pack's territory. I am traveling with only one goal in mind: get away.
-Flashbaq-
Skeppy/3rd Person POVI sit under the shade of a large tree watching the rest of the pack. I've settled in a more crowded part of the pack but still out of the way. Some wolves are running around and others are off hunting. Our territory if fairly large, so there is lots of space to be alone. I prefer to be around other wolves, but I'm fairly sure they don't want me around them.
I have no specific place I'm supposed to be, other than out of the way. A lot of the time I stay around the alpha's den watching what sort of things happen there. I've never been there myself, but I have seen it from a distance.
The largest den is where the alpha stays. It is in a large clearing void of trees, useful in situations where another pack were to attack. The alpha could easily spot them before they even reach the den. The den itself is a giant tree that fell down creating a cave like area underneath. Over time, the alpha ordered wolves to create a stone wall of sorts to protect it. The alphas den was also where the pups stay when they are still too young to protect themselves.
It was the beginning of spring. The weather was staring to warm up and flowering plants were abundant. It was also the time for new life. For most wolves this was a very happy time. It was the time for pups to make their way outside and into the open. For the mothers to teach them how to hunt and survive.
Skeppy was far from being a pup, but he still admires how they are still treated with respect.
I look around at the pack. Everyone looks so happy. They all have friends or someone who cares for them. Why do I have to be the lone wolf?
He was the omega of the pack. Omegas were treated with no respect and often abused. They were given the last bit of any meal, so many starved. He was an omega because of his bright color. Because he couldn't hunt, he couldn't contribute to the pack.
He was tired of being mistreated. He had to do something.
I could run away. See how much they really care. If they chase me, I might stay. They probably won't chase me anyway.
He waited for the next evening to come so he could travel by dark. Wolves have good eyesight, so they can see very well in the dark.
If it's dark I won't have to worry about the heat. It's now or never. I walk to the most crowded area of the pack.
Once he got the attention of a few of the other wolves, he turned and ran.
I run at half speed to see if any of the wolves try to chase after me. The only noise I can hear is the sound of my own paws running. Of course they won't chase after me. They were probably hoping for this to begin with. I run faster, focusing on getting as far away from my pack territory as possible.
They were never my pack. I finally realize.
Where am I going to go? How long will I have to run?
I slow to a stop when I hear the sound of water near by. I follow the sound to a small creek. I gladly drink the water, not realizing how thirsty I was. I reluctantly leave the water to continue forward, not knowing when I will find the next source of water.
I search through my memory trying to remember where I am. I trace it back to when I was a pup. I remember that this is one of the areas for the pack to teach pups how to hunt. I remember being taught here. It was filled with small animals perfect for pups to catch. Of course, it was empty now because I was standing there with my bright color.
I have to get out of here.
I weave my way through the forest as fast as I can, running until I can't. I stop at any source of water I can find, before quickly continuing on.
The next time I stop it is night once again. I have been running for an entire day. Since the only thing I was allowed to do was stay out of the way, I had plenty of time to myself. I spent that time running and building up endurance for situations similar to this. I decide to find a good pace to sleep for the night. I can't keep running if I'm too tired to see straight.
I find a tree to curl underneath and make a quick bed, fully prepared to continue when I wake up.
-End Flashbaq-
Skeppy POVI decide the best thing to do is to have a goal as to where I'm going. I don't want to spend the rest of my life aimlessly wandering around until I eventually starve.
I could try to find my way out of the forest. That would be too dangerous. Something every pup was told was to stay in the safety of the forest. Apparently, scouts were sent to see what was outside the forest, and they never came back.
I could look for a good spot to claim territory. But what good would territory be if there is no one to share it with?
I decide on finding another pack. I could join it. I would at least be treated better than an omega. I could also get food.
I remember being told that my old pack territory was very far away from any other pack, to avoid any attacks or territorial disputes. I sigh deeply, knowing that I still have a long way to travel if I'm ever going to find other wolves.
I continue forward running as fast as I can, which isn't very fast. I haven't eaten in at least 3 days. I am still able to find food, but it's very rare. If I'm lucky, I can find a dead animal that was left behind or another animal didn't finish. A dead animal every once and a while will never be able to sustain me.
If I can't find food I will die out here, alone.
