The bell rang as lunch ended, students packing away their lunches and standing up, saying their last words to their fellow friends as they headed off to their next class. Malachai slowly stood up and put his lunchbox in his backpack, holding his hand out so he could take Theia's. After she handed him her lunchbox, he shoved it in his bag and zipped it up, slinging it over his shoulder.

"I wonder if you will see your eye candy in your next class," Theia smirked as she ran her fingers through Malachai's hair, his hair following her demand as her hand ran up the back of his head, his hair falling over his eyes. He scoffed and shook his head, brushing his hair out of his face.

"I hope so," Malachai smiled as he made his way to his next class, P.E.

As he made his way onto the track field, he spotted Caspian standing off to the side as he fiddled with his fingers. Malachai's heart skipped a beat as he saw him standing awkwardly to the side, the corners of his lips twitching as he smiled. Having three classes together in a row is pure luck. Caspian looked out of place and uncomfortable around all the students, most of them chattering about, gossip most likely spilling from their lips.

"That guy is gay, right?" Some of the girls whispered from behind Malachai as he came into view, the gossip becoming more apparent, his ears picking up almost every word.

"Isn't that Malachai Evans? I always thought he was a lady's man..." Another one whispered, disgust evident in her voice.

"He used to go from girl to girl, and from what I was told, he barely put any effort in. I thought maybe it was a lie because he seemed like such a genuine person... The only person he actively rejected was Martha since she desperately tried to get with him. What a shame. She ruined his reputation." Some girl said, pity evident in her voice.

"Martha is a spoiled brat which is probably why she freaked when he would not take her demand." Another girl blurted out, and that he agreed with.

"That faggot should not be taking P.E. with us. I would rather not have him staring at my ass while I run..." One of the guys whispered to his friends, most of them agreeing to what he said. Malachai could feel a sharp pain in his chest.

Malachai sighed and crossed his arms over his chest, ignoring everything they said. Just because they are guys, it does not mean he is going to be staring at them. He is not into heterosexual men. Malachai has standards, and they do not meet those standards. Now that he had been outed on Martha's terms, he knew he would have to deal with constant gossip, bullying, and homophobia. While he did not want to hear any of it, he knew that it was something that he had to hear for the rest of his life, and the thought of that hurt. What was wrong with being gay? It is who he is and who he will continue to be as long as he lives. Malachai cannot change who he is and will not change himself for anyone, ever.

"Alright class, for those of you who do not know me, I am Coach Rigby and will be your P.E. coach this semester. Since there are new students, it is required that everyone introduces themselves. Just state your name, grade, something that interests you, and if new; where you transferred from, and why you transferred." Coach Rigby said as he paced back and forth. "Come on, now. We do not have all day, circle up." He stated, gesturing for the students to gather in a circle. Students began to form a circle, some glaring at each other as they stood close to their peers, some continuing to talk. "Is there anyone who would like to start? If not, I will randomly assign someone to start us off." He asked, his eyes shifting from one student to the next. "No one? Alright, you sir, please introduce yourself." Rigby said as he pointed at Caspian, the boys' eyes growing wide.

"Uh... m-my name is Caspian Dion and I am a sophomore. I enjoy playing the ukulele and writing songs. I tend to write at night when inspiration sparks." He spoke, a small smile tugging against his lips. "I also like to garden now and then. I played soccer at my old school, but I was forced to play a sport and soccer was the only one I was decent at, so I chose it... I would not say it is a hobby of mine though..."
