ENG - Chapter Four - Embarrassing Moment

"This is the last proposal..." Singto handed over a document to Pha for signed. "Is there still anything else I can help with?"

"Nothing, thank you, you may go home now..." said Pha. "And don't forget, we have a meeting with CEO Suvadeth at 9 tomorrow, don't be late..."

Singto nodded, then looked anxious, he then thought for a moment, and looked hesitant before decided to ask an off-topic question, which made him curious for days

"Er...were you and Khun Pin really broke up because of coffee?"

Pha immediately stopped what he was doing when he heard his question and looked at him straight. "Why you ask? You don't believe it?"

"Er...hard to believe..." Singto chuckled and added. "Why you dislike coffee?" he changed the question.

"Aw, I'm not saying that I don't like coffee, I just don't like its aroma...because..." he paused for a moment before continuing. 

"It remind me of my childhood, remind me of my mother who always worked late till night, and every time I enter her room I always smell the aroma of coffee, in all places in my house there are traces of coffee stains and I have to clean it..."

Singto was surprised to hear Pha's story and he could understand the reason.

"My mother's addiction to coffee could not be stopped, until finally she was told that she got diabetes and pass away..."

"Aw, I'm sorry...for make you remember of your past ..."

"It's fine, it's been a long time ago..."

Singto thought for a moment and again asked another question. "What about your wife, she doesn't like coffee? How did you knew each other, had a relationship and got married?" he was curious.

"Hey, you're asking about my personal matter..."

"Aw, it has passed working hour..."

"What do you mean?"

"So I'm not your secretary anymore, can't you tell me by considering me as a friend?"

Pha could not believe it and was stunned for a moment, then he nodded while smiling.

"At first...we were just friends and she really liked to tease me..." Pha started the story. "Until one day, she found out about my secret...and we..." he looked hesitant and paused.

Singto raised his eyebrows and exclaimed. "Secret?"

"Er..." Pha glanced at Singto for a second and immediately changed the subject. "Well, I felt comfortable while being with her and finally decided to get married..." he decided to end the story.

"Is your marriage happy?" Singto asked involuntarily.

"What?" exclaimed Pha in confused. "What do you mean?"

"N-nothing, I'm just asking..."

"All right, I don't want to talk about this..." Pha cut. "I want to finish all this quickly and go home..." he pointed at the document in front of him.

"Alright, I understand..." Singto realized the changed on Pha's face and stop asking, then prepared to leave.

"Excuse me...and see you tommorrow..."

"See you tommorrow..."

Half hour later...

Singto was waiting for public transportation alone at the bus stop, suddenly he saw Pha's car speeding and passing in front of him. He didn't take his eyes off the car as well as Pha, who also watched him from inside the car.
