Hayden POV

It was that time of the year again. First day of school. I go to Grand View Boarding school for the gifted. And when I say gifted I mean like gifted with supernatural abilities, not gifted with knowledge. But the outside world doesn't know that and it should stay that way. Everybody in this town just thinks we are a regular boarding school for the rich and smart kids. Which is exactly what we want, we participate just enough to keep everyone from tasing suspicion.
Anyways, back to the first day of school, well it's not today, it's tomorrow. Today is when everybody comes back to school from their vacations. Not everybody, actually a lot of people stay at Grand View because they have no family. A lot of vampires stay because their family either think they're dead, or their family is dead. Some werewolves (like myself) stay because of who they killed to trigger their werewolf curse and people also just stay because their folks think of them as the "devils spawn".

Celeste POV
New town. New Life. New Name. That's been my motto for the last 300 years and a little bit more. A down side to never aging. I've been 14 since the late 1600's, but I didn't live anywhere near Salem, luckily for me, a teenage witch. And werewolf. And Vampire. Yep, I'm a tribrid of three supernatural creatures not supposed to exist.

"Rose? I have your coffee" A young woman, about 16 or 17 gave me my coffee. She's probably a high schooler working as a waitress to get some money on the side. I could practically smell the werewolf off of her, but didn't say anything and just went on acting like a normal teenager as best I could. When you've lived since the 1600's your idea of a teenager gets a little blurred. I knew my first day of school was tomorrow, but this is a new town and I don't have anywhere to stay, so I don't think it would hurt to get a early start.

At The Boarding School

Boy was it a hike to get here. But they are all really friendly, I got my dorm and am currently moving  my stuff into it. I don't have too much stuff, perks of always moving around. Another perk of being a tribrid is since I'm the only one of my kind, I don't have to share a dorm like everyone else.

A couple minutes later

All of my stuff was moved into my new room and it only took about 15 minutes, perk of vampire speed. Even with vampire speed though, cleaning still makes me hungry. Another plus to being a tribrid is while I still need blood to survive, human food can fill me up.

However, my path to finding kitchen was cut short when I ran into a jock. Well, a werewolf, the scent was dripping off of him. "I'm sorry, did I hurt you?" Surprisingly he said that and not me. He's nicer than he looks.

"No, no, I'm fine" I gave him a half smile, which is as close as I get to smiling. I haven't felt true happiness since 1694. Ever since then, my life has been pretty crappy, but I won't bore you with the details. I just have never tried to feel happy, I guess I feel like feeling even a slice of joy has it's consequences.

"If you say so" I see his eyes travel around my body "You're new right? I've never seen you around before"

"Yea, I'm surprised you haven't heard of me" I could see he was confused, so I continued "The mythical tribrid freak show that's coming to your school tomorrow? That's me. I came a day early, guess that's the freak in me" (yes I stole the mythical tribrid freak show from TO)

He just chuckled "I didn't hear any thing about the freak part, but I did hear we were getting a tribrid this year. Up until now, I thought those existed only in fairy tales" I didn't notice this about him before, but he's actually kind of cute. His dimples whenever he smiles. The way he flicks his hair back before he speaks. Wait- what am I doing. I promised I would never let myself fall for someone after what happened the last time. Love only ever results in pain and I don't need anymore of that in my life.

"Well a lot of people think that werewolves only exist in fairy tales and here I am, talking to one" I chuckle, although it's clear there is no joy behind it.

"Oh, I almost forgot, I'm Hayden"

I inwardly sigh at the fact that I didn't tell him my name "Right, I'm Ro-Celeste" I forgot I don't have to go by a fake name anymore, finally.

"Well Celeste, hopefully you choose to join our wolf pack, we would really enjoy your company" He smiles with those darned dimples before walking off.

I think I may actually have a chance to start again
