Celeste POV
It was the first day of school, and everyone was getting assigned their classes. Luckily I didn't have that many. Since I had already graduated high school many times and even graduated college twice, I already knew all the human information. The 4 classes I did have were intro to supernatural classes. Classes officially started tomorrow, so everyone has a rest day today. I decided that I would join the wolf pack. I know that would mean getting close to people and I don't do that, but maybe that can finally change. I don't know, maybe I'm just being dumb, but I still go to find Hayden. Something about him intrigues me. But I'm definitely not falling for him. I promised myself I would never fall for anyone again. And I've been honoring that promise for over 300 years. I can continue to honor it. No boy with brown smooth hair, baby doe eyes, and a golden tan will make me break it. I was lost in my thoughts when I suddenly bumped into a firm chest.
"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention" I know my apology doesn't seem sincere but that's as close as I'll get.
"Watch where your going new girl" Oh hell no. He did not just say that. I finally look up at him and see why he said that. He has silky blond hair and crystal blue eyes. He's probably the guy all the girls like so he walks around on a cloud thinking he's the best. I hate guys like that.
"I don't know who you think your talking to, but I will snap your neck in an instant." He got me pissed.
Yet he doesn't look threatened vampire. I don't know how I didn't notice before, I must've been to focused on his rude personality. "Ha, I'd like to watch you try, I'm a vampire sweetheart, not that easy to kill"
I wanted so bad to say something like Then I will rip your heart out and feed it to you. That's what old Celeste would've said, but I'm a new person now. "Whatever" I said and walked away. Until a certain golden boy caught my eye.
"Hayden!"
He turned at the sound of m voice "Oh hey Celeste"
"Just the person I was looking for" I smile as I make my way towards him. Usually I would've used my vampire speed, but it wouldn't have been as dramatic.
"Really, why?" Confusion yet excitement That's what I could read from his eyes.
"I want to join the pack"
