Eden was trying to keep his emotions in check. It wasn't the man's fault but he was unable to stop himself from shouting "So what do you suggest I do?" The old man did not speak a word. Eden knew that this meant that he should find that by himself. He got angrier "I have countless fans that depend on my smile to make them happy so what am I supposed to say to them?" The old man said: "the truth" Eden was tired, he lowered his voice. "How do you know that you're walking the right path?"
"There is no right path"
"How do I know that I'm walking the wrong path?" Eden asked again
"When you're not happy" The man answered again "what are you breathing for if you're not living?"
Eden genuinely wondered "then how are you living your life?" The old man seemed to have been waiting for this question. He answered in a heartbeat, though he still kept his wise and calm demeanour. "I'm not scared of living." Eden's heartbeat jumped with these words. He started crying again but this time he couldn't control his tears. He tried to avoid eye contact with the old man so he wouldn't see his tears. He hunched over and covered his face with his hands; he was never one to cry openly. The old man waited for Eden to regain his composure and Eden, with his head still in his hands asked "Does it get easy?"
"No................yes, it gets easy"

"Yeah? Well look at you, you're an old man sitting down in a snowstorm" Eden's intention was not to bemean but that was a genuine thought and he wanted to see how the old man wouldanswer. "It gets easy when you find it's not hard to make decisions anymore" hecontinued "I'm an old man but I know my life is fulfilled" He smiled "I managedto keep my wife happy in her final moments and I managed to keep myself happy,I had kids, I bought her a house, and I made her smile" The man let that sink in"If I were to be killed right now, I'd die with a smile on my face because I'dbe going to meet God who I trust has been keeping an eye on my Irma for me"Eden asked "And if there is no God and no afterlife, or even if you go to hell?"
The man responded, "I know on the day I die, I've lived through heaven" The mangave Eden one of his flowers then continued "and that I gave it hell."
"And if it hurt?"
"Oh well, at least that's living"
