Eden rose from the seat. He had nothing more to say. Everything the old man said was right. He looked the man in the eyes and nodded, the man nodded back with an approving smile. Eden was about to walk away when the man grabbed his hand, placing the flowers into his palm "thanks for giving my wife a smile again" he had a smile that stretched to his eyes. "Thanks for saving my life" Eden said. Eden walked away from the bench and kept walking. He knew that he shouldn't look behind him. This would be the first step into his new life. Eden clutched the flowers as he walked through the park gates. Four words echoed in his mind: "at least that's living. Eden had just taken the first step to happiness. Even if Eden had looked back he would have seen nothing special, just wind blowing snow around the park, trees covered in snow, a bench facing the lake and an old man who died with a smile on his face.
