Chapter 7

I haven't heard any news about Mina after that day. Even if we have same group of friends, I have no courage to ask them.

Until this day came......

Today is Thursday, but I have no class. I was too lazy to go out so I just decided to stay in my bed. Until I heard my phone ring. And saw Sana unnie's name.

"Chaeyoung-ah? Are you busy?

I got curious since Sana unnie never called nor texted me if it's not important.

"No. Why?"

A moment of silence on the other line. Then I heard Sana unnie speak again.

"Can you come here? We are in Nayeon unnie house."

"Eh? Why? You don't have class? And who's there?

"We are all here. Even Jeongyeon unnie. We need you here."

Ehh? They need me? And why is that?

"Why? I don't wanna go out, unnie. I want to sleep."

"Mina is crying! Come here and talk to her! She told us that you've been avoiding her for a month now!"

As I heard what she said, I hung up the call not waiting for any words from her.  I immediately changed my clothes and went outside. I know that she's not my concern anymore since we broke up already. But still, she became my bestfriend. And I can't hide the fact that I still love her.

I knocked as soon as I reached Nayeon unnie's house. I thought they are just hanging out, but I never expected that they are drinking. As I enter Nayeon unnie's house, my eyes landed on the bottle of alcoholic drinks. And one girl is such a mess. I looked at Hyung and Tzuyu. They already know what happened, yet they let her get drunk.

"Unnie, can you let Mina rest in your room?" I asked Nayeon unnie since she owns this place.

She nod at me and Hyung helped me to bring Mina in Nayeon unnie's room. Mina never tried to drink alcohols. And I don't have any idea why she turned out to be like this. She's a mess.

As we went inside the room, we place Mina in the bed and Hyung left afterwards. I'll just talk to them after I made sure that Mina is ok.

"Chaeng? I didn't know that you'll be here." Mina suddenly said while I'm fixing the blanket to cover her.

I didn't answer. I just continue on fixing her position ij the bed. She's not used to this situation, she never drink. This is the first time. And I have to make sure that she won't feel dizzy while lying.

"Are you done avoiding me?"

"You should sleep now, Mina. And don't you ever do this kind of things again." I said with a hint of madness in my voice.

"Not unless you're ready to accept me again."

I covered her mouth, afraid that our friends might here.

"Stop talking will you? And stop making it obvious." I'm getting pissed right now. Not because of her, but because this needs to happen. I never expected that she will do this.

As I was about to leave, she held my hand. "Can you get my notebook? I will let you read everything I wrote there since we broke up." I let out a sigh and nod at her.

"Take a rest. I'll talk to others." I said and finally left the room. I don't want to talk to her in this state. I just can't.

"So what happened between you two?" Jihyo unnie asked as I sat beside Tzuyu.

I didn't know that she's here as well. Sana unnie is right, they are all here.

"Nothing, unnie. Just a misunderstanding." I lied again. Until when do I have to lie to them.

I can feel that they are not satisfied with my answer. But no one wants to ask more.

"Sana unnie, Momo unnie, can you just let Mina stay here for now? In her case, she can't walk."

I asked not minding the owner of the house. I know that Nayeon unnie will understand.

"Aren't you going to talk to her?" Momo unnie asked.

I just shook my head. "Maybe when she's ok. But for now, I'll just let her rest."

They nod at me. So I bid my goodbye. I can't stand being with them in this kind of situation. And I'm not ready to be near at her. Tzuyu and Hyung who knows everything just stare at me.

I am now staying in the living room. Waiting for Hyung to arrive. It's already 3 pm. I want to know what happened and why they end up drinking.

"Cub, I'm home." I looked at the door as I heard Hyung's voice.

"What happened?"

I waited for her to sit beside me. I can still smell the alcohol in her.

"Mina wants to drink. And we can't stop her." She said with her eyes closed.

"Is she awake now?" I asked with full of concern.

She shook her head which she regretted after. I laugh at her.

"You're avoiding her. And you became strangers again. Is that what you really want?"

It's my time to shook my head. I never wanted to be like this. And I never wanted to act like this. But I have to.

"I can see that she really love you, Chaeng. You know that she don't drink. But today, she did. And she even cried to us. Not minding that maybe we found out what you two were hiding."

"I love her too, hyung. But I can't go back to her. She have Bambam. And we can't deny that she have feelings for him." No matter how much I want to get back at her. It will never happen.

She stood up before she speak. "Just think about everything, Cub. You hide your relationship for more than 4 years. What's new?"

I don't understand her point. Did she want me to face the pain again? She wants me to continue my relationship with Mina? I was about to answer, until she speaks again.

"Mina admit to us that she don't love Bam. She just can't end her relationship with him. Because when she tried, Bam cried a lot. And threaten to hurt himself. You know how much Bam loves Mina. But Mina loves you." With that, she left me and went to her room.
