Galatea Espina- The Straight-laced. Galatea joined the Aurora Legion after growing up within a military brat lifestyle. Out of the small gang of anti-socials aboard Squad 312 she's considerably better than the others, able to comprehend emotions but be unable to convey her own.
Seeking a change of pace from the explicitly Terran-exclusive Defense Force wound up with her admissioning for the Science Officer stream, later catching her as one of two Science Officers for a dysfunctional Squad due to her straight-laced and overall stuck up behaviour. For a considerable amount of time after the Drafting Ceremony (and some crying into her pillow) Galatea feels conflicted and lost. Yet as she desires to blend in with the others, she finds herself embracing the sudden thrill of breaking rules a little too enthusiastically.
She's fond of having an abundance of hair, and, like just about every Espina woman, is proud of her however distant Spanish heritage.
And for your informtation she definitely does not think Finian is cute. Not at all. She would rather die.
Welcome To Your Squadron
Swept away in a whirlwind of events, Galatea is barely given a moment to pause and think about the girl she once was. Or rather, refuses to remind herself just how much of a suck up she once was.
New faces and conflicts lead to Galatea brushing aside personal feelings for the betterment of her safety. Caught in life-threatening situations and conflicts that could kill, a newfound outlook on life is discovered.
Now she's not sure of anything.

WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS, BABY! With the new Aurora Burning book released I of course decided to continue Galatea's story. I'm excited to write this honestly, and hope you guys will enjoy it just as much as you did with the first one :)
