I was shocked.
He killed his parents, too?
"I- I thought that a drunk driver killed your parents?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I told them to drop me off at the school for 'football practice'. I really was going to a party that everyone else was going to. Then, I got really drunk and drove Nash's car. I ended up driving to my house, but killing my parents in the process," He stated blankly.
"Oh," Was all I could manage to say.
"Look, I get it if you're creeped out or whatever, you can leave if you want to."
"No, no. I want to stay," I replied. He smiled a genuine smile.
"So, uhm... I kinda have to leave. See you here next week?" He asked.
"You're not going to ask for my number?"
"No. I'm sure you'll be here again. Or so, I hope," He winked as he exited the door.
-
A week has past, and I haven't been more excited to go to therapy.
I walked through the door and sat in the blue chair in the lobby. I didn't see Matthew, which worried me a little.
-
Therapy starts in three minutes and Matthew is still not here.
Am I worrying too much?
-
Therapy sucked ass. Matthew didn't show up. But, I should have figured that would happen. All guys are dicks.
I walked outside into the cold December weather. I noticed a shadow move, then Matthew popped out in front of me.
"Hey," He said. Suddenly, all of my anger toward him melted. His breath reeked of a horrid smell. I sighed, knowing why he didn't come to therapy.
"Did you smoke?"
"What?"
"Instead of coming to therapy, did you smoke? Your breath reeks."
"Look, I was under a lot of stress and I ju-" He started, but I cut him off.
"Look, therapy is meant for you to get better. I was actually looking forward to seeing you there..." I looked down at the ground. I felt his thumb push my chin back up, so I could look him in the eyes.
"I promise, I'm not high anymore. I want to ask you a serious question."
"What?" I asked.
"Will you go on a date with me?"
"Of course, when and where?"
"Now and a surprise," He winked as he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers together. We silently walked the short distance to his car.
-
It was dark by the time we reached our destination.
"Matthew, where are we?" I asked. He pulled out a blindfold and put it over my eyes.
"Shut the fuck up," He said.
"Why so angry all of a sudden?"
"If you don't shut the hell up right now, I will shoot you."
And that's when my life turned into my biggest nightmare.
Holy fuck.. I scared myself writing this chapter.
What do you think her biggest nightmare is?
I think I'm going to do a double update so.. :)
