A Christmas Gift - I

~Nadine's POV~

The afternoon was hazy, and I was fascinated with the darkening, thick clouds that covered the sky. 

The park was empty...

At ang malamig na simoy ng hangin ay nararamdaman ko na.

It's made me swing lazily back and forth the cradle in this park. My heels left a long trails in the sand beneath mine.

I smiled softly when the mist began to fall.

Masaya akong nagha-hum habang inilahad ko ang kanang kamay ko para maramdaman ko ang ulan na hindi naman kalakasan.

I couldn't help, but conclude that these past few months were most definitely the best I have ever experienced.

Exactly fifthteen months ago, the one I'd been so in love was revealed that the feelings were returned. We shared our first kiss in two weeks after that, and we're rarely seen apart.

Wala ng mas hihigit pa sa pagmamahal ko para kay Lawrence...

I pulled the thick scarf around my neck.

Tumingala ako at ipinikit ko ang aking mga mata.

Allowing the mist to caress my cheeks and lips, sticking to my eyelashes and my mouth released a soft puff of heated breath.

It was incredibly cold outside, but I felt nothing. That's what love does to you, I supposed.
