Chapter 1

    01: on one condition

It was a fine day in whale island. The whole island just woke up and is now continuing their work. However, two young children are already awake, despite the earliness they still wanted to play.

Aika Freecss, a 12 year old girl who is always up to a challenge and never left her step brother's side. The two are a inseparable duo.

Gon Freecss, the same age as his step sister and has incredible senses. He often hangs around with Aika, although he was fast, she was not but years and years of sticking with gon, she learned to keep up with his pace and also picked up his super human senses.

"WHERE ARE THOSE TWO?"
An orange haired young maiden asked to herself, she continues to prepare for breakfast in the kitchen when she saw two children running about in the fields. The sight made her smile in relief.

Outside, Aika and Gon are on a race, the both of them are seeing how fast can Aika keep up with her step brother.

Breathing in shallow breaths aika catches up with gon and narrowly wins. Gon jumps in victory, showing her a toothy grin

"Yey! I beat you!" He exclaimed happily, Aika was breathing deep yet silent breathes and was resting in the grass staring up in the sky. She sighed and closed her eyes.

"I'm well aware gon" she then sat up and looked at him with determination visible in her eyes.
"But i'll beat you one day!" Gon tilted his head and he smiled.

"Better try hard!" He then laughed and sat down with her.
"Oh i will...until then," Aika stood up and announced.
"Last one to the front door is a rotten egg!"
And with that, she ran off, gon yelling about not being ready behind her, his yelling only determining her to fasten up her pace.

She looked to her side and saw gon smiling widely, running faster and not to be sure being the rotten egg. Aika didn't know what happened, but she felt a feeling rushing in her veins.

Suddenly she felt as if time was slowing down, just a little. The time she breathed out she was already at the front door, she saw gon at the distance still running, he lacks a little speed from his earlier race but still was fast as ever.

When gon arrived aika was sitting down, her chin resting at her palm.

'What happened?' A thought that popped up often in her head as she contemplated about her and gon's race to the door.

'It was like...time slowed down. But how could that happen?' Aika looked down to gon who was laying at the ground with his arms as support.

"Whoo! Wow aika you really improved on your running" gon pointed out as he was resting at the ground.

'Should i tell him? Maybe...argh! This is so frustrating' Aika sighed and decided not to think about it too much. Still buried in her own thoughts, gon kept talking.

"—and then you were like whoosh! Your face looks determined too, and that weird light around you—" Gon continued to say, his description sobered aika from her thoughts.

"Wait you saw what happened? Wow you have really sharp eyes gon" she complimented at the boy before her.

The spiky haired boy just scratched the back of his head, she noticed this and took it as a habit of his for when he was embarrassed about something.
