The gray and Brown mules waded in the water cool and refreshing. There hooves clicked on the stone below. I took my bottle and filled it with the crystal cool water then lead the mules out after they had their drink. Once again there hooves clicking along. My sister, Dakota, was on the bank waiting "Dakota how did you get here?" She pointed at her pony I sighed.
" You are to young to ride alone."
She gave a smirk and a shrug.
"Here ride the mule I will lead your pony." She hopped on and I grabbed the spotted pony and walked to camp.
" Wait sissy look" I turned around her finger pointing at a bush.
"What?" I asked
"Look in it" I looked there was a small bird with its wing outstretched. I could tell it was broken by the way she flapped the other and it only twitched .
" What will you do with it Juniper?" She asked "Take it home and then to the healers tent I guess."
I started back to camp with the bird in my hand. Its bright yellow, blue, and orange reminded me of sun set at the lake. When we reached camp people where not out side. The guards where gone. Horses and animals in stables. It was quiet. The central fire was out. Which ment "The camp is on lock down" I hurried the mules to the stable and brought the pony home. We grabbed the water and ran. We walked in and tied up Luna the pony to a post in the ground. My father wasent home. He must be a away. He is a warrior. The tent was quiet. We went to the back and my mother was puting precious items into a bag.
"Mom, what's going on?"
