[Warning: I've tried to tone it down, but if you're easily triggered, please skip this chapter to the end. This chapter contains suicidal ideation and topics that may upset some readers. And if you read this while listening to Billie Eilish 'all I ever wanted', you'll end up like me. A crying gooey mess of a person.]
The weather are nice today.
Almost too nice to succumb for.
The black clouds on the sky were absorbed by your hearts, and the crescent moon looks as if its dying.
The moon are heavily covered, leaving only a little light to come through. Maybe it's representing hope?
Glancing at the night sky in amazement and fondness, you took a long breath of fresh air, just savoring the moment.
The stars may be twinkling and asking you to play with them, but they're not reflected in your eyes.
"Maybe, I belong there. Next to you."
You whispered, talking to the almost nonexistent moon up above.
Both hands on the railing, you grasped them softly as if embracing an old friend.
You hoisted yourself and stood there while stretching your hands. Feeling the cold breeze engulf your entire being, you felt free.
As if you could just fly away to the moon. The wind will take you there, and you'll finally greet the stars properly. You'll meet the moon and then you're able to talk to him. Tell all of your hardships and how you're free of it because you're now beside him.
Couldn't wait to do that, you smiled and lift one of your foot, until it all came crashing down to you with only one word.
"Why?"
You felt your heart stopped beating for a few moments. With panic running through your eyes and brain, you stood still, as if everything were paused.
"I don't want you to regret this."
You didn't look back at the voice. You don't know who would've wanted to stop you, but you didn't want to stop here. The voice continued.
"As long as I'm here. No one can hurt you"
Deep down inside, you know. You felt this little voice that kept telling you to stop and that you didn't want this. A little fire inside you are still burning, but same as the moon in the skies, barely. It was your will to live.
But you brushed it off once again painfully.
"And how would you do that? You don't even know how I feel right now."
You finally spoke up, still not moving an inch from where you're standing. How would this person save you when you yourself can't? When he don't know a thing about you? When nothing else really matters anymoren
"If I said I know how you feel, you're not going to believe it at all. And you wouldn't know what could change unless you're alive to see it"
Silence.
You didn't believe this person. This person who you assumes were a boy, from his soft but masculine voice. This person would save you? How ridiculous. It was the funniest thing you heard in a while.
But you couldn't help but wonder if he's really capable of doing so.
"A lot of people are going to miss you so bad if you're gone"
And true to his words, you could suddenly imagine a flash of people crying over you. Your mom, your dad, your friends, and seven boys you don't know exactly who but seems strangely familiar.
"But they will get over me after a while. They'll just live their life like the usual and forgot about me."
Tears started forming on the corner of your eyes, and you desperately trying to keep your ground despite the intense turmoil on your heart. The fire inside you crackled and spreading slowly but surely.
Then you hear the sound of footsteps carefully taking a step one at a time.
"No. They'll seem like they're okay. They'll try to be okay. They'll try to forgot about you when the reality is they felt a part of them withering away at the thought of you no longer by their side. All because they wanted you to be happy, to never let others felt the same way you do."
You couldn't see the sky, the moon, or the stars at all. You closed your eyes and sobbed harder, because the words stings you like no needles could ever will. It stuck on your skin deeper, and kept drowning inside you till you went crazy and turn around.
You saw a boy who looked your age, with big doe eyes that are red from tears and ready to embrace you into his arms.
"I beg of you. Please… please don't go. I need you. No, we all need you."
His words are muffled and hurried, trying so bad to stop you leaving. Who's the 'we' that he meant? Perhaps its not just your friends and family.
It was weird, but somehow you remember your mom's story about the Guardian Angels.
And at that moment, you tried to move but you forgot you're sitting on top of a railing.
.
You felt like falling, but it was as if time had stopped and started moving in a very slow motion. He ran to you and grab your hand to his side.
When time start moving normally again, you found the two of you now on the ground with panting breaths and rapidly beating hearts.
And suddenly everything came together, like a big ball of yarn slowly untangling and forming a lovely piece of fabric. Strange little things that kept rising and sinking to the surface of the water. Small things, unforgettable things, beautiful things. You finally found him. Or should you say 'them'?
"Thank you, My Guardian Angels"
"You really scared me there. Hyung gave me a very long lecture after that.
I'm so sorry, but we might not met again.
The moment you realize what we are, we couldn't appear after you for long.
But don't worry, for we are always right here, watching over you. Just like we always did"
