A/N: Hello Everyone! I hope you all are doing well. This is my first in Wattpad and I finally am writing my first fanfic in here. Now I'm a big Pokemon fan as well as an Amourshipper, I have been reading a lot of AU stories that take place in school. So I decided to write my own. Now in this story, Ash is 16 years old and Alain is his older brother. Since this is an AU fic there will be some character who may act OOC but hopefully, I'll be able to satisfy you guys as the story continues. Anyways I hope you all enjoy the story!

Lumiose City - Morning
(Ash's POV)
Hi, my name is Ash Ketchum, I'm 16 years old and I live with my mother and big brother. Right now I was sound asleep in my bed. I could hear Fletchlings chirping outside but I was too deep in my sleep to even care. I rolled to my side as I continued to snore loudly.
"Ash! Breakfast is ready!" I heard my mom called out. However, I was in deep sleep to even respond.
"Ash! Wake up we don't want to be late on our first day!" I heard my brother called out as well but didn't care. Suddenly I felt something poking my cheeks, it felt like small paws.
"Pika, Pika!" I heard my buddy Pikachu chirp.
"Ugh, go away Pikachu just give me ten more minutes," I replied in my sleep.
Just as I continued my sleep I felt a great wave of static electricity coursing through my body. I screamed out in pain as I jolted up awake. I was covered in soot as I lay on the floor.
I got up and brushed myself off. I saw Pikachu standing on my bed giving me a glare as his cheeks sparked electricity. This was his way of waking me up when I overslept.
"Okay, Okay I'm up! Geez." I said defensively.
After I dusted myself up I went to my closet and got my clothes I was gonna wear for today. I can't believe today was the day my big brother and I was starting Pokemon Academy. It had been a week since My Mother, Brother and I moved here to Lumiose City. My Brother has been to Lumiose before during his travels as a trainer. So my Mom thought it would be a good idea to move here in order for a fresh start.
As you should know we were originally from Kanto. It was a nice quiet place where there were lots of trees and landscapes. Not to mention interesting people and pokemon. However after my big brother did something so stupid and reckless, our mother decided that it was best for us to move to Lumiose City in Kalos.
I quickly changed into my wardrobe which consisted of a blue short-sleeved jacket with white stripes, a black shirt underneath, dark grey cargo pants, red sneakers, black fingerless gloves and I couldn't forget about my hat which was red with half a white Pokeball on it.

I finally finished getting ready as Pikachu hopped on my left shoulder as we ran downstairs and headed for the kitchen. I entered the Kitchen to see my Mom Delia cooking more pancakes on the stove. Not only that but I saw my big brother, Alain sitting at the table drinking his morning coffee.
