Scene 1
(Lights up; Same setting as Act I, scene I; Its been 8 weeks after the incident that took place between Milo, Crystal, and Toby; Crystal enters stage left with head down; Milo is already downstage right relaxing; He see's her and gets up; Both meet center stage)
Milo (Excited): Hey crystal!
Crystal (Worried): Hey Milo.
Milo (Concerned): What's wrong?
Crystal (Upset): Its nothing.
Milo (Nudges her): Come on, you can tell me. (Serious) It's not Toby again is it?
Crystal: No, he's long gone. I heard from my cat friend that he was caught by animal control; she saw the whole thing. I fear for what will happen to him.
Milo: I know he's your son Crystal, but he deserves whatever he gets! He hurt you and tried to kill me! Its hard to imagine that 2 months have gone by already.
Crystal: Oh Milo. I can't believe it either. (Serious) Now then, back to the matter at hand. I have to tell you something; and I feel I have little time to say it.
Milo (Unsure; Concerned): Ok, what is it?
(Crystal looks away; Looks back at him unsure of where to begin)
Crystal: Its time you knew the truth about something that happened long ago. I can't keep it to myself any longer, that day with Toby changed me; as well as seeing you for that first time. I have been thinking about this a lot, but not sure how to tell it.
Milo (worried): What truth are you talking about? Why couldn't you tell me earlier? Why wait till now?
Crystal (Hesitating): Those are all very good questions. The reason is that I was just waiting for the right time to tell you, and I was not sure how to tell it. But the dreams I have been having seem to tell me that now is the time. So naturally, here I am.
Milo (Insisting): Ok then. What is it? What do you need to tell me?
(Dodger enters stage right; Meets them center stage)
Dodger (Smiling): Hello Crystal. Milo.
(Crystal and Milo turn around)
Crystal (Surprised): Dodger?
(Milo and Crystal stand side by side one another)
Milo (Puzzled): You know me? (Looking at Crystal) You know this dog?
Crystal (Remembering): Yes. We met once and he...
(Dodger interrupts)
Dodger (Concerned): No need to get into all that now, its ancient history. (Clears his throat) Crystal, may I have a word with you please?
(Dodger and Crystal are upstage right talking: Milo still center)
Dodger: I overheard you as I was coming in. Are you crazy or something? You can't tell him anything! Dreams or not.
Crystal (Serious): I believe he has the right to know. I can't keep it to myself any longer; recent events have changed me.
(Milo impatient walks up to them; Over hearing the conversation)
