Scene 5
(Lights up; Same setting as Act I, scene IIII, only the trees are upstage though; Titan stops at the tree line looking at the houses; Dodger, Crystal, and Milo flank her)
Titan: This is as far as I go.
Dodger: It's all right Titan. You may wait here. I'll be right back.
(Titan nods; Dodger, Crystal, and Milo walk upstage center and stop at Milo's house)
Milo (Excited): Home at last! Thank you Dodger for everything you've done.
Dodger: Anytime Milo. I have to say though; I haven't had that much fun in a while!
(Both laugh)
Crystal (Sighs): All right you two. Now Milo, get inside and stay there ok?
Milo: Yes Mom. You take care in going home too. Ok?
Crystal (Laughing): Yes Milo. (They hug) Take care my son.
Milo: I will Mom.
Dodger: Well now that were all back safe and sound; I should be getting back too. My pack will be wondering what has become of me; a leaders work is never done.
Crystal: Thank you for everything Dodger.
(Dodger nods his head)
Milo: I would just like to say sorry again for my behavior earlier today.
Dodger (Looking at him): Don't worry about it; you were upset, it's understandable.
(Is about to say dad, but then stops)
Milo: Thanks... Dodger.
Dodger: Your welcome.
(They hug; Dodger hears Titan howling in the distance)
Dodger: Well, I have to go now. Take care Milo. Watch over our boy Crystal.
Crystal (Smiling): I will.
(Dodger starts to leave stage left)
Milo: Dodger wait!
(Dodger stops; Turns around)
Milo (Hesitates): You were a great... A great dad to me, and I thank you for it. Even though you did steal me. (Laughing)
Dodger: Thank you Milo, I think; and if ever you're in the woods, come during the day and look for my patrol. All right? You are always welcome.
Milo (Sincere): Will do Dodger; take care.
(Dodger gives a smile and then runs offstage left giving one final howl)
Crystal (Looking at Milo): Well Milo, I am very proud of you. I am glad to call you my son.
Milo: Thanks mom. (Thinks) Boy that is going to take some time getting used to. I think we all learned a valuable lesson here to day.
Crystal: Oh? What's that?
Milo: The lesson learned is, that you should never lie to someone. You should always tell the truth and be honest. Remember, whatever happens, stay true to yourself.
(Crystal nods in agreement; Both walk offstage right together;)
(Lights fade out)
