"What's wrong?" Draco questioned as he sat beside Azalea

"What's wrong?" Draco questioned as he sat beside Azalea. She was currently sat in one of Hogwarts many large windowsills, looking out over the grounds and he took the seat beside her calmly, dressed impeccably as ever.

"Nothing, nothing. How are you?" She questioned, smiling as she turned to face him and he narrowed his eyes at her, assessing her.

"I don't believe you. Did Potter do something? Does he need to be taught a lesson?" The boy demanded. True to their words, the two teenagers had gotten to know one another much better recently and were in fact, now friends. Yet, Draco still refused to tell her anything about his dark friends, not that she had asked. She knew where the boundaries lay and knew he'd come to her eventually, when he needed help.

"No, he didn't say anything I didn't already know." She smiled softly and he shifted.

"So he did say something" Draco prompted. "Don't stress, I won't hex him... not unless you give me permission" he teased and she scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"He's angry at me for not spending enough time with him" she stayed simply and he remained silent, waiting for her to elaborate. "He said that... I wasn't human. Because I didn't know what a robot was. He said that I behave like a robot" she explained.

"A robot?" He scoffed. "What's that got to do with anything? Honestly, I've never understood Potter. But if he is pathetic enough to let you slip away from him for something as minor as that, then he's got a few screws loose" Draco informed strongly and she smiled softly but her eyes watered.

"I've questioned it myself you know, many many times. Questioned whether I can be considered human." She sighed and he took her hand against his better judgement, holding it firmly.

"Azalea. It doesn't matter if you're human. You're you. That's the important thing. You are absolutely incredible, it doesn't matter if you're a human or a bloody robot, or anything in between. If he can't see how incredible you are, then he isn't worth it. You can feel, I can tell by the way you're crying right now. And that makes us as human as the rest of us. You can hurt."

"Thanks Draco" she smiled softly, squeezing his hand. "What should I do? Should I apologise?"

"No, this is his fault. He needs to say sorry" Draco nodded firmly, decidedly. "Are you tired Azzie?" He wondered and she calmed by the nickname. "You look tired."

" a little" she responded awkwardly.

"Go and sleep, I'll cover for you in Potions"

"You're sure"

"Absolutely" he smiled and she thanked him a million times before she left. Only when she rounded the corner did his eyes harder, becoming cold. His expensive shoes clicked rhythmically as he marched down to the dungeons. True to Draco's belief, Harry was stood waiting for the lesson, laughing away with his friends and it absolutely disgusted Draco to see.

"You truly are pathetic potter. I hope you know that" he remarked, leaning against the wall opposite as she stared at the golden trio. They quietened at his presence and turned at his words. "You're stood there, giggling away like a pack of schoolgirls after breaking Azaleas heart" he tsked and shook his head.

"You don't know what you're talking about Malfoy" Harry demanded, badly keeping his cool as his jaw tensed and his eyes darkened.

"Oh, don't I? Did you, or did you not, get angry at her because she wasn't spending enough time with you. Poor potter, not getting enough attention" he scoffed. "You're worthless Potter, she is protecting everyone. And everyone has the audacity to say that you're the saviour! She has become a hero to the whole of Hogwarts in under a month and you have the decency to to be angry about it? To call her inhuman, make her feel like she doesn't belong. Your own girlfriend! You are childish Harry, and you need to grow up, fast. Because she is mature and she's not waiting around for you to catch up."

"Why do you even care, Malfoy?" Ron questioned loudly from behind his friend, Hermione standing in relative silence despite Harry's growing anger.

"I may hate you three completely. Potter here might be the scum of the earth in my eyes. But I do care about her and she cares about you. She deserves to be happy and if someone as useless as you makes her happy, then I will assure she has it" he informed, arms crossed.

"Where is she?" Hermione questioned softly.

"Sleeping." He returned. "Everything she does is under orders. If you're annoyed that she's friends with me, take it out on me. Not on her. She's just being friendly. She's being nice. You should be accepting of her decisions because she's doing it all with the greater good in mind." Draco concluded, leaving Harry with a lot to think about as he turned to the classroom door. More people slowly began to congregate and Harry no longer had opportunity to respond.
