Azalea shifted uncomfortably from where she sat in her potions lesson, all around her, people stared as if she was a mythical creature they'd never seen before. It didn't matter what Professor Slughorn said, he could not pull the gazes away from the Daughter of Hogwarts. To her right currently sat Draco Malfoy, much to the shock of Hermione Granger who sat across the room.

Malfoy was just as shocked, having positioned himself purposely in the back of the class to be away from people and wallow in his own thoughts. But, despite who she chose to spend time with, Draco couldn't help but be slightly lightened by the presence of the brunette who currently paid no attention to him as she owed through her potions book with her quill, making small notes on each page.

"How come you're sat with me?" He questioned lowly, the class was yet to officially start and she blinked in shock at his words, meeting his cold grey eyes warmly with a soft smile.

"There was a time Draco, when I first started here that you wanted to be friends. The second you saw who I was already friends with, you changed your mind and we haven't spoken since. However, just because you changed your mind. Doesn't mean that I did. I always still wanted to be friends with you." She frowned and Draco blinked.

"You are Potters girlfriend, hang around with the Weasleys yet... you want to be friends with me?" He was startled.

"Draco... I don't believe that you are the person that you pretend to be. I know that somewhere inside you... you care. And I know you know who I am... I wasn't sent here just to be with Harry, as everyone thinks. I was sent here to be the protector of Hogwarts and the students in it. So... just let me do that?" She pled and he stared deeply in her eyes, searching for any hidden, deeper meaning that may linger there.

Their staring match was however, broken, when the door slammed open and they all turned as Harry and Ron entered. Draco sat back with a sigh, Hermione staring intently at Azalea from across the room. When he stopped, Harry's green eyes analysed the class and landing on Azalea, widened slightly. His jaw tightened but he otherwise made no motion that he'd seen her.

"Ahh, Harry my boy, I was beginning to worry... brought someone with us, I see" the teacher noted.

"Ron Weasley, sir. But I'm dead awful at potions. A menace actually so I'll probably just go" he stepped back but Harry moves behind him to half his exit.

"Nonsense. We'll sort you out. Any friend of Harry's is a friend of mine. Get your books out" He turned back around to the potions in front of him.

"Sorry sir, I haven't actually got my book yet. Nor has Ron."

"Not to worry, get what you want from the cupboard" he gestured.

"Still want to sit next to me?" Draco whispered when Slughorn continued the lesson.

"Why wouldn't I?" She frowned.

"Potters then jealous type."

"Well, I'm sure Harry won't be opposed to me making a friend" she smiled softly and opened Draco's book to the right page for him. "It helps in the lessons to actually pay attention; Draco." He chuckled at her words, ignoring the intense gaze on his face from Harry.

"Sir" Katie Bell called "you haven't told us what's in that one."

"Ah yes" Slughorn acknowledged, turning to a small vial and carefully lifting it. "What you see before you ladies and gentleman is a curious little potion. Known as Felix Felicis. But it is more commonly known as?"

"Liquid luck" azalea stated calmly when nobody else answered and she felt Harry's green eyes on her face. Turning to him, she smiled but he looked away the second their eyes met. Making her frown.

"Yes Miss Hogwarts. Liquid Luck. Desperately tricky to make, disastrous should you get it wrong." He warned. "One sip and you'll find that all of your endeavours succeed. At least until the effects wear off. So, this is what I offer each of you today. One tiny vial of liquid luck for the student who, within the hour remaining manages to brew an acceptable draught of living death. The recipe for which can be found in page ten of your books. I should point out however, only once did a student manage to brew a potion of sufficient quality to claim this prize. Nevertheless, good luck to you all. Let the brewing commence. Miss Hogwarts, I believe it would be unfair to us all if you were given equal opportunity." He noted.

"I couldn't agree more, Sir"

"Marvellous, well, please join me here for a moment; there is a matter I wish to discuss" he beckoned and she nodded, pushing her book toward Draco as she stood to face join the professor. The Malfoy boy frowned as he looked down at her page and the marking she had made that altered the recipe itself.

Walking through the classroom, she was stopped by a very familiar hand on her arm. Looking up into the eyes of Harry Potter she frowned.

"What are you doing?" His voice was not angry, merely suspicious.

"Going to talk to Slughorn" she smiled innocently and he rolled his eyes.

"Azalea"

"Later, Harry" she smiled and kissed his cheek before moving away and heading over to the teacher. "Sir?"

"Ah yes, I was discussing with Severus and Albus" he began and then dropped his voice when he noticed eyes upon him. "We we're discussing your issue when you touch Harry and, considering how delighted I am by your relationship, I have decided to help. We have concocted this recipe." He handed it to her. "It should cure the symptoms, it may take weeks to make but I figured that you are perhaps the best potion brewer among us" he chuckled "and you may begin now, in these lessons. Let me know if you need help" he prompted and she nodded with a smile.

"Thank you, sir."
