Izuku was four years old when he learned that all men were not created equally.
At the age of four, his dreams were shattered and his heart was torn apart by society's rules and regulations. Yet even though his trials he remained hopeful, hopeful that he too could save people.
After learning he was quirkless, he began getting bullied by his former friends and his parents began to fight.
He was scared, he didn't know what to do now that his world was crumbling around him. So he did what any child did at his age. He cried. He may have been young but Izuku was still very clever, but it was true, ignorance is bliss.
It was to much for the kid to handle on his own and his mother quickly took notice. She soon became his lifeline and support, even when others would degrade him she'd cheer him on.
As he grew older his parents grew further and further apart, and by the age of nine they ended up getting a divorce. This lowered Izuku into a semi-depressed state and he stayed locked in his room, reading hero comics.
Soon enough his father moved to the Americas, making a living over there. Izuku was distraught that he could no longer see his father every weekend so Inko devised a plan and the plan was currently being executed.
Izuku sat in the seat, telling his mom about the hero Eraserhead, telling how the underground recently caught a villain for robbing a bank.
Inko smiles as she listened to her son speak so intently about the hero, she enjoyed his fascination with them after all.
"Excuse me ladies and gentlemen, if you would please buckle your seat belts," A voice spoke, sounding out through the plane, "we are about to land."
Izuku's small smile widened to a grin, "Mommy we're almost there!"
Ink nodded to her son, rubbing his fluffy hair. "Yes were are."
The plane lowered to the ground with a steady landing, bouncing a bit as it's wheels meet the ground once again.
It didn't take long for them to exit the plane, only having a bit of trouble when Ink attempted to get a bag of theirs out of the overhead bin.
Izuku took off in an instant, running forward as his mom followed behind, his excitement taking over most of his body.
When it came to his dad, Hisashi was the fun kind of lovable man. Izuku loved playing with him, finding any excuse to tussle and fight with the man with tickles.
A smile showed itself on Inko's face, she loved seeing him so happy. It was until Izuku actually spotted Hisashi that his happiness spiked dramatically.
Izuku ran to his dad, latching himself to his father's leg like he was clinging onto him for dear life. Hisashi only hummed contently when Izuku did this, picking the boy up carefully in his arms. Izuku waisted no time, wrapping his arms around his dad's neck and nuzzling into his shoulder.
"Did you miss me kiddo?" Hisashi smiled, only faltering when he felt his shirt dampen. A chuckle escaped his mouth and he patted Izuku's back, "It's okay Izu, no need to cry."
"S...Sorry, I just missed you." Izuku sniffled and Hisashi once again smiled.
"I missed you too," His smile stayed as he looked to Inko, "Need help with your bags?"
Inko nodded simply, "Yes, it would be a great help."
Hisashi nodded, moving Izuku to his shoulders as he took one of the bags from Inko, allowing her to take the other.
The ride to the house was quite chatty, especially after Hisashi asked Izuku about all the heroes. He told his dad all about his favorite heroes, including Eraserhead, Present Mic, and All Might.
When they arrived to the horse Izuku was ecstatic, running and looking around but he soon became bored.
"You know," Hisashi spoke with a smile, "We could go to the library, they may have some American hero comics, what do you think?"
Izuku was immediately on board and Inko seeing her boy all excited couldn't say no, so the three made their way to the library.
"Okay," Ink smiled, "When you find the books you want, meet us back here in the lobby, okay?"
Izuku nodded before taking off, leaving his parents smiling and laughing at his eagerness.
Izuku wandered the shelves, his eyes being caught by a few comics before he moved on to bigger books, seeing if he could find one for his mom to read to him.
As he scoured through the shelves a book caught his eye. It was rather large, a bit smaller than half his height. The leather was a redish brown and it had gold binding along with gold inscription and two gold pentagrams, one of the front and one on the back. The words on the front beautiful wrote 'History or Witchcraft'.
Needless to see his interest was snatched and he decided to take it, even though it was rather heavy.
Waddling his way back to the front desk he noticed his mother and father patiently waiting.
"My my kiddo, that's a big book." Hisashi chuckled, gently taking all the books Izuku had from him. "Think you got enough to read?"
Izuku smiled and nodded, "Yep! I can't wait to read them!"
Hisashi sweat dropped but smiled, placing the books on the desk. The librarian perked up and smiled, his voice speaking calmly.
"I've never seen anyone want that book before, why don't you take it, it's a long read." The family was surprised at the man's words.
"Are you sure?" Hisashi spoke.
"Yes, it seems rather priceless..." Inko mumbled.
The man chuckled, going through some books on the shelf behind the desk before placing one of them next to the large book. "You'll need this too, lots of Latin phrases."
The librarian smiled when he noticed Izuku's eyes sparkle, he could tell this was something new to the kid.
"O..Okay," Hisashi smiled, "we'll check out the hero books then."
The librarian nodded and once again the family was on their way home, Izuku now looking through the 'Latin to English' book.
"Draco means dragon," Izuku giggled at that, seeing no real change.
Inko hummed seeing him so interested in it, smiling when she noticed him mumbling words and their meanings under his breath.
