The rest of the day passed by in a blur. I wandered around the area on my own and tried to take as many pictures as I could. I was starting to buy some souvenirs for Nyx and the rest of the barkada when my stomach started to rumble. Since I really didn't eat that much for breakfast, I went back to the resort to eat. They were already offering their lunch on the floating restaurant and I was lucky enough to try it since Nyx got that for me as a gift.

"Wow," I exclaimed as I watched some T'bolis performing cultural dances. The restaurant staff was already serving lunch—a number of dishes with tilapia as the main ingredient since it was famous in the area. While choosing between the tilapia chicharon and tilapia in curry sauce, I couldn't help but also be amazed by the view in front of me. I immediately called Nyx.

"Nyx, thank you for insisting that I should push through with this trip. The view here is so breathtaking and beautiful . . ."

"Yeah, it's beautiful." I stopped talking when I heard Blue Shirt Guy's voice. When I turned to face him, he was looking at me. Was he talking about the view or . . . Nah. It would be too much of a cliché for him to say that I'm beautiful while I'm looking at a beautiful view. He's probably talking about the view as well.

"I was looking for you a while ago to return this but the girl at the front desk said you went out. So, here it is. Thank you."

"No problem," I told him and turned my focus back to Nyx.

"Ya! Who's that guy just now? Is he the cute guy you were talking about a while ago?" Nyx asked continuously. I shook my head in disbelief. Was she really that desperate to know all the details? She of all people should know that I couldn't talk about someone who was practically standing beside me.

"Stop pretending that you are innocent. I know what you did with Danny. I'm hanging up now, Nyx. See you in two days," I told her then I put my phone and adaptor inside my bag.

Kyle and I had our lunch quietly. By the way he was gripping his spoon and fork, I had the feeling that he wanted to talk about something but he was holding himself back. When the staff served the dessert, that was when Kyle decided to spill the beans.

"I'm really sorry for being so persistent, but do you have any plans for tomorrow?" he asked, which caused my brows to furrow.

"Don't you have your own plans?"

"Danny basically insisted that I should go here for my break. He said he had booked a room for me already so I just accepted it." Now that Kyle mentioned it, this being a setup became clearer than ever. We initially booked three rooms for our barkada. It seemed to me that Danny didn't really cancel their room reservation and he just gave it to Kyle. So now, here he was at Lake Sebu without any sort of plan.

"Fine. I'm going to visit the Seven Falls tomorrow," I reluctantly told him. While roaming around the area a while ago, I had asked some locals regarding it and they said that I needed to trek to see all of the falls. They also said that it was a must to try riding the zipline in the area since it's the highest one in Southeast Asia.

Since Kyle was so engrossed with the idea of trekking and being one with Mother Nature, he decided to tag along with me. He was also excited about riding the zipline. The idea of riding it wasn't really my thing but I decided not to tell him that.

"Thank you, Arci. You're the best!" he said while holding my hand. As I looked at his hand on top of mine, I wasn't sure if he was just this friendly or if it was something else. Too much contact with him was starting to be unhealthy for me already.

Shrugging aside the idea that he had another agenda for joining me on my trip, I tried to get to know Kyle more. He said that aside from being a graphic designer, he also worked as a part-time model and it stressed him a lot. Apparently, his management was too controlling or so he said. As he shared more information about himself, little by little, I felt more relaxed around him. Besides, Nyx and Danny wouldn't dare to set me up with a creep, right?

"All right, so we'll leave by morning. I rented out a habal-habal already and the driver will pick us up by 7:00 a.m. See you tomorrow then," I told Kyle and I went straight to my room to prepare my things for tomorrow's adventure.
