Lucy POV
"Sooo what was that all about?" my mom gave me the oogly eyes as she fixed me a plate of food on our kitchen counter. I tucked a stray piece of my long blonde hair behind my ear as I met her challenging stare with my own. A playful look smeared on my features. I began limping smoothly across our living room on my way to delve into my brownies before answering any of her prying questions.

I had already stuffed one of those fluffy chocolatey treats in my small mouth when I answered, "oh that cutie? His names Natsu Dragneel. I caught him obsessively staring at me last period". I nonchalantly told my mom with a mouthful of brownies.

"Ah the Dragneels. They're pretty well off, like we used to be. Before your father landed his ass in prison" mom's voice hardened at the last part. She rested her elbow on the marble counter facing opposite to me, watching me eat.

"Lucy honey, that boy seems very delicate. His confidence hasn't been the same dare I say existent ever since Igneel abandoned him. It's clear as day he likes you so maybe you better not toy—"

"Mom I'm not interested in talking about this right now" I cut her off, sliding off my seat by the counter. "I may be ruthless dating guys left and right but that's just part of my popularity act. Just trust your daughter okay? Plus you can blame yourself for giving me good looks and a body guys line up for" I winked cutely at her ready to left for my room.

In Lucy's Room
I ripped off my uniform shirt agitated at my weak limbs for bruising so easily. I just tripped. Did I really have to sport a huge purple bruise on my clear vanilla skin?

I stood facing my long rectangular mirror that comes in handy when you wanna see the whole outfit top to bottom. I was wearing a pink lace bra and underwear set, one of two that Levy Chan got me as a gift. My blank eyes trailed over faded remains of marks my dad punched in me. I was about to have a mental breakdown when I felt the ominous feeling of someone watching me.

Being met with nothing after jerking behind me,  I swiftly went over to shut my window and close the blinds all the way down. I decided to simmer down my uneasiness by taking a hot shower before bed. Grabbing my towel I entered my bathroom and gingerly soaked in the warm water spewing from the shower head.

Thoughts flashed in mind slicing my relaxation in two. I'm so tired of it all. Of acting strong and confident like nothing bothers a princess a like me. But when I'm alone, pieces of me start to fall. Horrible memories of abuse, my father beating my mom, cling to me. Shutting off the shower, i readied my self for bed with my mind made up that I won't be going to school tomorrow. I rolled my eyes at the thought of the guys fighting over who would help me walk to class since I busted my ankle, before collapsing on my cotton comforter.

The Next Morning: Narrator POV
A rustling noise beyond the glass window interfered with her deep sleep. Lucy's room situated at the second story of her house. Thinking that it was the wind chastising a tree branch, she ignored it.

But the rusting didn't stop.

And she began feeling uneasy.

Deciding to check whatever it was, she carefully got out of bed which she considered her happy place and hesitantly went over to her window.

Her breathing was ragged as she slowly reached to open it. Lucy slid her window open in a very fast, swift motion.

Immediately having been opened, something jumped in and landed smoothly on the room's posh white fur carpet.

Something or..someone.

Reacting to the sudden situation, Lucy took in a sharp breath but forgot to exhale. She backed into the corner of her room near her bookshelf putting distance between her and the uninvited guest.

She expected an attack of some sort, but the room was eerily still.

Lucy slowly opened her big lidded eyes and made eye contact with who or what invaded her bedroom. The moment she did that, she gasped and widened her eyes upon having looked at another pair of eyes that stared back at her.

Him again.
